Crocheted Scarves are Donated

4 Crocheted scarves donated by Paula K.  Thank you Paula for your on going support of our cause.  Your scarves are so nice and warm, and large enough to be wrapped around which is always a plus.  The bright colored one will make a lady smile, while the nice darker colors are perfect for the men folks.  Many thanks and please keep up the good work.

2013 working calendar is not yet posted, but our focus for January will be slippers.  Please see slipper tab.

**Please avoid open lacy stitches.  If your fingers easily poke through the stitches and or you can easily see between the stitches, it's probably too lacy.  Please opt for a smaller crochet hook, or knitting needle and or switch stitches.  It's important our items are warm and sturdy.**

Our unknown crochet from St. Louis has sent another box of hats and scarves, and some matching sets. I appreciate the donation St. Louis; but really need to once again ask that you make contact with me.  You can leave a comment here on the blog and or send me a private email.  It's important that even if you wish to be anonymous here on the blog (which is totally fine), I need to know whom you are for my records; and I need to be able to make contact.

Warm Dry Feet, so very Important

Our good friend Annemarie from New York has done it again.  72 pairs of socks....awesome, I was concerned our sock number was so much lower then last year...this is wonderful.  72 pairs of warmer, dryer feet.  ANd 33 of those chemical hot packs to aid in their fight to stay warm.  The hot packs are good for ones pockets, under ones blanket if living outside; as well as good for those waiting on the bus while the various family shelters aid them in finding jobs, and housing.

2013 working calendar is not yet posted, but our focus for January will be slippers.  Please see slipper tab.

**Have you checked which list you're on lately?  If not please do.  Love to do updates.  For example you may be listed under the tab those who don't blog and or have a Facebook profile page etc...but, since you're first donation now you have a Facebook, or Ravelry profile page, and or you've started a blog.  If so, please let me know so I can update our lists.

Donations from the Sunshine State

Thank you Sandie S from Florida for this thoughtful donation of knitted hats and crocheted scarf.  We appreciate you're on going support.  Though I do wish you could send some of your Florida sun our way, lol.  Sandie's hats vary in size which is great, after all; head aren't all the same size.

Keep up the good work, and don't be shy...love to hear from you here on the blog with comments.

**PLEASE folks remember to check the tabs across the top of the blog, frequently to be sure you donations meet required size, color and fiber needs.  If you have any question, please send me an email or leave a comment before you go to the trouble of making and mailing a donation.**

Ohio's Homeless Need Your Help

If you've been to this blog before, I'm betting you know who's donation this is.  And if you quessed Rosemary...you'd be right!  She's crocheted and donated a matching hat and scarf with signature decorations, a headband, 2 cotton washcloths, a little crocheted bag (that can hold a bar of soap and or tissues).  She's included some personal care items such as tissues, shampoo, and deodorant.

Thank you Rosemarie.

**I would love it if all of you who donate would visit AND leave comments here on the blog.  I know many of you are shy, or think you can't do it because you're not a blogger, don't know how to do it..........but it is truly very very helpful in the blogs placement with search engines.  Being well placed with search engines is important as it helps us be more visible to those who might be able to lend a hand.  Sooooooooooo PLEASE, don't be shy.  Truly leaving a blog comment is very very easy, and quick.
  1. Click the word Comment right beneath this and all post
  2. Type your comments in the white box
  3. Click the circle the says name and url (if you don't have a blog just leave the url space empty
  4. Click Publish
That's all there is to it.  Everyone loves to hear from others as you admire each others work.  So please, take a few minutes each day, or everyother day and leave some comments.  Scroll back and visit blog posts beyond the current day you're reading.  Every single visit, time spent, and comment helps us keep people warm.  The more people who see our blog, the more potential helping hands we acquire.**

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
