Thank you Lori R for this thoughtful donation of crocheted cotton washcloths and hats for our cold homeless folks here in Ohio. Really like the bright green in the washcloths, it does make me think of Spring.......so very tired of this long, cold winter.........surely Spring will come ...sometime. Though I fear it's a long way off. I know the calendar says it's due on March 20th, which is only 16 days away...........but remember our friend Mr. GroundHog...6 wks longer, and really here in central Ohio it is often cold, frosty etc long after that. But, how nice to see those bright spring colors in the washcloths.
The hats will warm 5 heads, and while I like Spring Colors, I appreciate that you choose nice darker colors for the hats. Well done, please keep up the good work.

Afghans for Homeless Families Foundation
Thank you Lori R. What an awesome donation. 2 Crocheted afghans, bright and cherry. The blue and yellow will surely make a little boy feel comforted and the orange and green will bring a smile to any little girl. These are sized well to be ghans for children, and or lapghan size for teens. Beautiful work Lori. I love all the texture in the orange and green one. Be sure and click to enlarge both photo's folks so you can see what I'm talking about. And remember you can always click any picture here on the blog to see something better.
In addition to the two afghans, Lori has crocheted and donated 4 cotton wash cloths.
Thank you Lori for your thoughtful donation, and continued support. We sure appreciate you.
Today is the last day of March...wow, where does time go? Tomorrow will be April and our focus for April is scarves. Please remember we do not make scarves for infants and toddlers. Please check details of size so the donations meet our need. In addition to focusing on scarves during the month of April, I like to continue focusing on afghans and quilts. We've not yet received any quilts, but am hopeful we will since adding quilters to our fold.
*Please remember to tag hats, mittens, and slippers with the size you've made. The above white tags work well, but you can also cut index cards and attach.*

Slippers, Hats, Scarves, and More
Thank you Lori R from Ohio for this wonderful and warm donation of scarves, slippers, and hats. Special thanks for pairing and tagging the slippers with size. That is most appreciated. Look at the variety of colors and size folks! These slippers are made, I believe with double thickness yarn which is always such a good idea to make slippers sturdy and warm.
Oh these pretty bright colored crocheted cotton wash cloths make me think of Spring. I really need to think Spring too, it's been so dark and wintering blah here of late. Beautiful made, and nicely sized for adults. Thank you Lori! Please keep up the good work.
**We'll soon be at the end of February, hard to believe how fast time flies by. The focus for both January and February was slippers. Just because the focus on feet with slippers and socks comes to an end soon; doesn't mean you can't still make slippers and send socks. Both items are always needed and always appreciated. Our monthly focus is just to nudge specific items needed or give you an idea if you're not sure what you want to make.
March will focus on afghans and rain poncho's. In addition to the afghan I assemble (or get help assembling) from your donated squares you can knit and or crochet completed afghans. You can also make a quilt. Guideline for colors and size etc can be found in the

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
