Drum Roll........I finally got Coffee Latte finished! I first posted about starting Coffee Latte back on Feb 1th of 2019. I also had started Blue Ocean. It's typical for me to have lots of projects going at one time and bounce around between them. I have big and little projects going, so I can tote the smaller ones with me. I also vary what I'm working on between knitting and crocheting, as crocheting bothers the arthritis a bit more....plus in warmer months I don't like to have a big ghan on my lap.
Anyway, those are my excuses for this taking so long. I had it tucked away, and frankly sorta forgot about it; but am happy to now say.........yippee it's done. It's a bit larger than some I make, which also made it take longer. It's laying out here drying after being laundered. I did a little bit of blocking, but not much was needed. Just needed to smooth it out and of course let the yarn rest.
It's always nice to get things laundered, as they look so much more finished, they soften up, and smooth out.
So Coffee Latte is our first afghan for the year 2020.

Fellow Ohioan Helps Warm Homeless
Thank you Tara B for your thoughtful donation of crocheted scarves to help Ohio's Homeless. Tara is our newest pair of helping hands. Welcome Tara, we're thrilled to have you join us here on Bridge and Beyond. Tara is also a fellow Buckeye!
These scarves are nice and warm. The gray scarf is well suited for a man and the blue and orange for a lady.
As a fellow Buckeye, Tara knows how cold and damp our weather is......and how many days we go without seeing sunshine. Thank you Tara for using your skills to help those less fortunate.
Hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond. Please keep up the good work.
**Edited to add the stitch used is a Feather Stitch, thank you Cynthia Biggs for finding the name and video of how to do it." And to Sandie P for finding the code to add the video here for you. It's an interesting stitch and since several ask me about it, thought I'd share what it is and how to do it...in case you're interested.

Knitted Cotton Cloths and Personal Care Items Help Homeless
Thank you Christine D for this thoughtful donation. LOVE the colors of the knitted cotton washcloths. Christine has knitted a bakers dozen (13) using the always popular corner to corner pattern, Grandma's Favorite. These cloths have several uses and always well received.
She's also included a nice collection of personal care items with her donation for Bridge and Beyond. Remember folks click to see details. You'll see a green and purple scrunchy as well. No clue how you make those, but very nice idea.
Thanks Christine and please keep up the good work and know you've made a difference in the lives of those in need.

Crocheted Scarves from Louisiana Help Ohio's Homeless
Thank you Sandie P for this donation of crocheted scarves. Folks, these was 2 different donations/pouches; but since I'm playing catch up her 2nd pouch came before I got the first donation posted. So you can see 4 wonderfully crocheted scarves. The size of these scarves are awesome, all 4 are large enough to wrap twice even on a good size man. Being able to wrap round twice and being wide enough really adds to the warmth factor.
The scarf in this picture is misleading, it's not white; but gray. The light must not have been very good the day I took this photo. Sandie has been a very long time supporter of Bridge and Beyond and Ohio's Homeless. Thank you Sandie for your thoughtfulness and your on going support. It's awesome.
As always keep up the good work, and thank you for helping! Please notice how nicely our numbers are growing folks. Check the goals in the right side bar.

Donation from Maryland Helps Ohio's Homeless
Thank you Patricia W from the state of Maryland, The Old Line State. Patricia is our newest pair of helping hands. We're thrilled to have you join us. Periodically I add the nickname of the state our folks come from. Not sure I've ever looked up Maryland before because I sure don't remember The Old Line State. Google tells me it's so named because of George Washington referring to the Regular Line, military men from Maryland who fought so well. Who knew?
Patricia has been very busy with her crochet hook making hats, and scarves. She also included a headband/ear-warmer and pair of black ladies gloves that will help keep someone's hands warm.
Please click to enlarge so you can see the details. On the left side and very top of the picture there are scarves which look like squares, they're just folded so I could get everything in one picture. These little scarves will be good for the younger set.
Thank you Patricia for your thoughtful donation, welcome to the group, and please know you've made an important difference in the lives of those who will receive your hand made items.

Knitting and Looming to Help the Homeless
Thank you Karen S for this wonderful donation of knitted hats a crocheted scarf. Please click to enlarge the picture folks so you can see these cute tags she uses to put the sizes on her hats. Soooooo cute! The hats are loomed with double yarn and so are always nice and warm and the middle hat could be nicely paired with her scarf to make a nice set.
Before I could get her first donation documented and posted I got a 2nd pouch from her. Go Karen! You've been very busy indeed. She's loomed/knitted 4 more hats and crocheted another scarf. We're getting good starts on our goals for the year folks. That's awesome. Again remember all pictures are clickable so you can see the lovely work each other do.
Thank you Karen for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond and Ohio's Homeless and folks in need. Please keep up the good work and know you make a big difference in the lives of many.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
