Hats for the Homess

Thank you Karen S for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond in aiding the Homeless though your knitting and crocheting.  Karens has included 7 loomed hats and a scarf.  The hats are nicely sized and are super warm, since they are doubled on the loom.  She's also added her cute size tags on the hats.

Hats, Scarves and More to Aid the Homeless

Thank you Sue S for this thoughtful and generous donations of knitted goodies.  Sue has knitted the famous corner to corner grandma's favorite cotton washcloths, hats, and scarves.  She included socks and personal care items, and a pair of gloves.  Something for everyone.

Christmas

During these past couple of difficult years life has not been normal, for anyone.  I think we all know someone who's had Covid, probably even someone who's died of it.  We've probably got family members who've been in quarantine a number of times due to exposure at work or school.

Some have gotten together for Holidays, some haven't.  Some who might be getting together this year, perhaps didn't last year.  I know we didn't do a family Thanksgiving or Christmas last year or this year.  Too many of us to get together indoors.  The larger the group, the bigger the risks are to all.

Even with that said, we are still far better off than many.  We have a roof over our heads, we've gotten our shots, we made alterations in our life style; but we are truly blessed.  Please keep in mind all those less fortunate this Christmas.

This will be the last Christmas we all celebrate together here on Bridge and Beyond, but all 13 of them have been filled with special memories created by all of you who've given of your time, shared your skills, but mostly importantly given of your hearts.

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you!

Knitted Hats Warm Homeless Heads

Thank you, Secret Santa for these two lovely knitted hats.  This Secret Santa is a High School friend of mine.  The yarn is super soft.  Both hats are nice and warm.  Click to enlarge the picture folks so you can see the the nice texture and pattern of the red/burgundy hat.  Many thanks for your thoughtfulness.  Two more heads will be warmer.

Afghans Warm those in Need

Thank you Pat C for afghan donation!  What a pretty and very colorful afghan.  This very much looks like a quilt design to me.  Very pretty.  The lady that receives this is going to be thrilled.  Cuddling up under this will surely put a smile on her face.

This 2nd afghan sorta reminds me of the log cabin design; but it might have a different name, as I believe too is a traditional quilt design. Not sure the colors show up quite right in this picture.  The smallest squares are red, while the rectangles are blue (something between navy and bright blue) and lavender.  Fun design.  I think this could work for a male as well as a female.
