Thank you Karen S! I bet by now most of you who frequent my blog, Bridge and Beyond are able to recognize Karen's donations before I give her name! Her signature stitch, is very recognizable. I've posted video's a few times of how to do this stitch of many names.
Seriously this stitch is known by lots of different names:
Cro-hooking
Crochenit
Reversable Tunisian Crochet
Double Ended Crochet.........are just some of them. Click here for the video if you've not watched before or want to see how it's done.
Karen has also included a toothbrush and paste. Which brings me to something about personal care items I thought I would pass along to you all. I've often mentioned collecting those little samples as you travel for leisure or business.......I've done it myself often when traveling; but........apparently some hotel chains are starting to do away with that for environmental reasons. In an effort to reduce the plastic, they are going for larger, refillable containers with soap, shampoo and conditioner. I know Marriott has announced that it's phasing it in and I've seen in thus far in a few hotels in my travels. I'm not familiar with others; but thought I would mention it here, so you can at least be aware. Due to being members, we always stay at Marriott's. I would imagine other chains are doing the same thing?
Many thanks Karen for your donation, and your on going support of Bridge and Beyond and Ohio's homeless. Please know we truly appreciate you, and your skillful hands. Please keep as the good work and know you do make a difference in the lives of many.

Knitted Hats From Florida Help Cold Ohio Homeless
Thank you Cheryl G for this donation of knitted hats. A little background here folks is Cheryl G is a classmate of mine. A hundred years ago we graduated from high school together.......well maybe not a hundred years ago.......half that. We recently celebrated our 50th reunion. Cheryl returned to Ohio from Sunny Florida where she has no need of these nice warm hats for the reunion and hand delivered these hats to me at the reunion! I thought that was cool, and wanted to share with you all.
These hats are super stretchy...you may not be able to tell that from the picture; but with the ribbing these hats will fit a large variety of head sizes which is awesome. I love variegated especially because they're good for the men folk (well not the ones with pink, but you know what I mean).
Cheryl I know I've asked you before for your pattern and thought I had added it to the hat tab, but didn't see it. Could you send it to me again, love to post it. I'm assuming you can adjust the size by the number you cast on? If you wanted the hat to be longer? It seems like this would be a good pattern and give people the ability to go up or down in size if they wanted to?
Wonderful to see you again at the reunion, I just wish there had been more time to talk. Cheryl and I graduated with a large class...the number somewhat debatable, but around 480 we think. No we didn't get that many people at the reunion, but we had over 100, so trying to talk to everyone wasn't an easy task.
Thank you for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond and Ohio's Homeless. So nice of you to keep thinking of us while you're down there in Florida enjoying the sunshine.

Donations from Tennessee, The Volunteer State
Thank you Anna W! Anna hails from Tennessee, The Volunteer State. As you can see Anna has been very busy volunteering. She's crocheted loomed hats in 2 different styles. The hats vary in size (many thanks for labeling with size). AND look at all the nice dark colors.....
She's also been busy looming those great wrist warmers/fingerless mitts. This is a really nice pattern, as they're nice and long and truly come up the arm for added warmth.
I'm adding the link to the blog post showing how to make them. Click HERE
The wrist warmers/fingerless mitts are also in the nice dark colors and match many of the hats she's made.
Many thanks Anna for your volunteering.....keep up the good work and know you're truly appreciated.

Many thanks for your donation Christina and welcome to Bridge and Beyond. We hope to see you here often.
Keep up the good work!

Mittens, Hats Scarves and Sets, Oh My!
Thank you Sandra R from sunny Florida. Look at this wonderful donation. She truly amazes me with the quantity of work she does. I've said it before, I swear she knits without stopping to eat or sleep. She's been busy knitting hats, scarves, cotton dishcloths, and MITTENS!
You all know how excited I get when we get mittens. She always takes time to tag her mittens and hats with size......thank you very much. AND she's taken things a step farther. Check the top picture. She's attached sets. In some cases the sets are fingerless mitts, and in other cases full mittens. She watched the video I posted HERE, about how to loom knit fingerless mitts. I did this
after we received some made by Anna W that were particularly nice and very warm as they extend up the arm a good deal. Sandra said in her note to me, she thought it was fun to try something else, so she purchased a loom and went at it.
As always, many thanks for your generous donations and your long time support of Ohio's Homeless through Bridge and Beyond. You truly make a difference. Please, please keep up the good work.
***Look how are goals are coming along, it's fun to watch those graphs and numbers grow.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
