Crocheted Afghans Make Perfect House Warming Gift
What an awesome afghan! Nicely sized and colors that work for a man, or a women....as well as a family. This beauty was crocheted by our good friend Cheryl S. Nicely done Cheryl and please keep up the good work. Cheryl has been a long time supporter of Bridge Beyond and has helped many Ohio's Homeless with her crocheted donations. Do pop back in to see the remainder of her donation.
Afghans, for those who might be visiting here for the first time are donated to Homeless Families Foundations and are used as a welcome home gift. Once a family transitions from shelter to their permanent housing situation congratulations are in order. What better way to say congrats, and best of luck for the future then to give the time honored housewarming gift of a handmade (knit or crocheted)afghan.
If you quilt or know someone who does........we'd be happy to donated quilts for the same cause.

Crocheting and Donating Helps Others
Thank you Diana K for your continued support of Bridge and Beyond with your thoughtful donations. The picture doesn't let you see the hats very well folks, but there are 6 of them. Additionally Diana has crocheted lots of cotton washcloths. The cloths are used by folks in the shelters and those on the streets as both washcloths and dishcloths. Always an item well received.
She also donated slippers and scarves and other hats; but sadly the 2nd picture is missing. Thankfully I had written down the number of items she crocheted and donated.

Knitted Hats from Puerto Rico
Look at these awesome hats! These are knit double which makes for a super nice warm hat and coordinating brim. Thank you DaMaris from Puerto Rico. They could also be reversible. DaMaris knits them half and half...colorwise, like a tube then gathers the ends. She used a Turbo round knitter for these. I've not seen the machine in person, but would love to have one. Thanks also DaMaris for taking the time to tag...sizing is so very helpful.
She's also included a pair slippers in her thoughtful donation.
Please keep up the good work.

Hats and Scarves Help the Homeless
Thank you Patty C! Patty and her crochet hook have been very very busy, as you can see crocheting hats and scarves to help Ohio's homeless. I LOVE that the hats and scarves are nice dark, and pretty much solid colors. These colors are so versatile for both men and women. I mention from time to time, the darker colors serve many purposes. The most obvious reason the darker colors are so good is they don't tend to show the dirt. However, even more importantly the dark colors vs light and bright colors keep them from standing out..........folks that's very important to homeless. They want to blend in, not catch the attention of others who might make things difficult for them.
Many thanks Patty, please keep up the good work.

Hats from Baby Love Ministry in California
Hats......hats of many sizes and colors knit and crocheted with love from St.Halena, California. Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
