Hats and Scarves Help the Homeless

Thank you Patty C!  Patty and her crochet hook have been very very busy, as you can see crocheting hats and scarves to help Ohio's homeless.  I LOVE that the hats and scarves are nice dark, and pretty much solid colors.  These colors are so versatile for both men and women.  I mention from time to time, the darker colors serve many purposes.  The most obvious reason the darker colors are so good is they don't tend to show the dirt.  However, even more importantly the dark  colors vs light and bright colors keep them from standing out..........folks that's very important to homeless.  They want to blend in, not catch the attention of others who might make things difficult for them.

Many thanks Patty, please keep up the good work.

  1. What a wonderful donation Patty C! Love all the nice colors you used for the hats and scarves. We are to get a freeze here in MI tonight. The homeless will sure be able to use your donation to stay warm in Ohio.

  3. I am catching up. These are great and I never thought about bright or light colours making them stand out. I guess they would and never thought they dislike that. Now that you say it, makes sense

    1. Thanks Birgit for the visit and comment, both are appreciated. Being safe, not standing out, protects them against the cops, as well as against each other. Some are good people, some not.

PLEASE leave your name and url, NOT a profile link, not a google or google plus. Only name and url will take me directly to your blog to return the favor of a comment.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
