Donating Loomed Hats

Thank you Cassy K from The Peach Tree State, Georgia for your donation of these 10 knitted (loomed) hats.  Nice variety in color and size Cassy.  And special thanks for tagging your hats with the size, that is much appreciated.

Cassy is our newest pair of helping hands.  We're thrilled to have you join us and hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond.  Please keep up the good work.

*Please remember to keep your donations free of pet hair.   Lint rollers work fairly well to remove small amounts, but those who's furry friends like to lay on their hand crafted items should launder their donations before mailing them.  It really delays things and makes my allergies flair when I have to launder donations before being able to distribute them.*

Donating Supplies to Help with Meals

A while back I told you all about Rae's extended ministry of feeding a new group of homeless in a different area of the city.  The folks she had been taking care of will still be tending to by people who helped Rae.  Sadly, there are more folks in need; but the good news is there are more helping hands to help her in the new area.  We put out a call for supplies to help her with meal prep.  Garbage bags are given to those on the streets to put their few belongings in, plastic grocery bags are used to carry their meals in, plastic containers are used for food stuff during and after meal prep.

Many thanks Kerry W from Colorado, our newest pair of helping hands for this thoughtful donation.  We appreciate your support and hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond.  Keep up the good work.

Donating Spring Colors

Such pretty pretty spring colors, if only it really were spring you'd see me doing a happy dance .  But, surely these pretty spring colored crocheted cotton washcloths will bring a smile to the face of those who receive them.  Click to enlarge the picture.  There aren't two sizes here, I just opened a few so you could see the nice work of our newest pair of helping hands, Dianne L from California.  If you can, look how she tied them.  She's folded them nicely in 4th's and tied them to stay that way.  Make a lovely presentation.  What a clever trick.  I need to remember this the next time I gift a cloth or two.

We're thrilled to have you join us Dianne and hope to see you often on Bridge and Beyond.  Please keep up the good work.

Helping Homeless Through our Donations

Thank you Emily P for thoughtful donation.  Emily has covered a couple of areas here with her donation variety.  She has crocheted scarves, nice large ones the adults will enjoy and items Rae will put to good use as she prepares and feeds cold homeless folks on Saturday mornings.  She's included plastic grocery and garbage bags, Styrofoam cups, and plastic containers.  There's also a nice cheery cotton washcloth.

The plastic containers will be used for left overs and meal preparation, the cups to serve hot chocolate and coffee, the garbage bags for the homeless to put their few belongings in, the grocery bags to carry their hot meal in.

Very nice and please keep up the good work, Emily.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
