Thank you Kathy S for this awesome donation. Kathy is our newest pair of helping hands, and we're thrilled to have you join us in warming Ohio's Homeless in need. As you can see, Kathy has quite a selection of colors in her scarves. I think my favorite might be the oceany blue that's unfolded...or maybe the 2nd to left purplish blue where the scarf changes hues. Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge so you can see the colors I'm talking about. She also has included 2 loomed hats.
You can tell Kathy's been busy with crocheting 15 scaves!
Have you noticed the count down til Spring in the right side bar here on the blog....I'm trying hard to will it to get here sooner. As I type this post it's only 7 outside. I hope this latest winter storm hasn't been too bad for you all. I know many got a lot of snow, ice, and wind. Am hoping you're staying warm, and safe.
That's me looking out at the cold ugly, except...I'm not smiling like the emoji is.

Thank you Karen S for this thoughtful donation. Karen has loomed (knitted) 5 awesome hats in great colors to warm 5 heads. As I type this scheduled post it is 7 degrees out. 7 degrees folks, that's 25 degrees BELOW freezing. It's 72% humidity out, all that dampness makes it even colder. The only good thing is, with time I type a post........we're one day closer to spring. Which in my opinion can't come soon enough. I truly detest winter, the snow, the ice, the cold. With each year I age, I find my patience with winter becomes even less.
Karen always tags her hats with such cute size tags. I encourage everyone to remember to tag your hats with size. When they aren't tagged with size, I have to guess what size head they'll fit as do the the volunteers at the shelters in order to get it to the right area. Tagging helps a lot. Tags don't have to be artistic, or cleaver; but these cute little round circles do add to the gift. And that's what our donations are, they are gifts.
These colors Karen has chosen are wonderful. These are colors that work well for men or women
Thank you Karen and please keep up the good work, and know YOU make a difference in warming up a cold homeless person.

These are my project bags. I mentioned in a previous post I had pulled out yarn to work on projects and tucked them into project bags. Additionally I had pulled out things that needed to be assembled into an afghan and found appropriate yarn to complete that project.
In these 7 projects bags are afghans named:
Pippi Longstocking (you saw it in a previous post)
Brown Marble
Rolling Hills
Brick Yard
Also bags of ghans to be...that I need names for:
- There's a blue ripple one (there was a very early picture of that right after the New Years). I can call it blue ripple...but maybe blue waves is better? Going with Ocean Waves, see below. Lisa you're on a roll. Thanks loads.
- There's one that will be Purple and Turquoise....any ideas of names? Cute idea, Elsa's Dream from Frozen. I did have one already titled Purple Mountain Majesty.
- One that will be a brown variegated and dark brown solid....any ideas on that? See below's comments. LOVE the suggestion of Latte' Love. Thank you Lisa!
- One that's blue and grey stripes..large sections
Here's the start of the blue ripple. A friend suggest Ocean Wave, which lead me to Blue Ocean. The previous picture of this ghan showed brown variegated with it, which I've now decided against. This will be shades of blue.
I'm open to ideas folks so please sing out if you have an idea.
Pictures will be forthcoming...once I get said projects out of the project bags.
What are you all working on?

A little humor for you all. I don't have a picture or appropriate word for the letter Z. The two previous posts were titled Zneesy and Homeless and Finding Zen. I didn't come up with anything new to share with you.
Doing a google search it gave me the words zero, zilch, and zone...but I got no where trying to tie those words to being homeless.
Thinking about knitting, crocheting, yarn, looming etc I can think we're in the zone when we're busy at work...but that's about as far as my mind goes. Any ideas from you all?
By now, you've probably noticed the count down to Spring in the right sidebar is in fact counting down.......yippee Skippy. Also by now, you've probably noticed the new goal numbers for the year of 2019.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
