See...told you there was more! If you missed yesterday's post, please please scroll back to check it out. This is the 2nd half to Sheelagh S's generous donation. LOVE this afghan. Reminds me a stained glass window. So pretty. This is nicely sized and will make a wonderful family afghan for the lucky recipients. And
Look....another afghan!! I'm thrilled we're getting such a good start with our goal for afghans. As I write this post it's mid February and believe this has us ahead of where we were at this time last year. Look at this big granny. One large granny square. This 2nd afghan is super soft, made perhaps from Lion Brand Homespun...or something similar by the feel of it. Another lucky family.
Many thanks Sheelagh for your wonderful donation. Please keep up the good work and keep your hook flying!

Crocheted Items from Head to Toe Help Homeless
Thanks you Sarah S for this thoughtful donation of crocheted goodies. Look at the variety folks. She's been busy crocheting scarves, slippers, hats, and cotton washcloths! AND she's also included personal care items with her donation.
Special thanks for taking the time to tag your hats with size, it is so helpful and such a huge time saver...both for me here at the house and for the various volunteers in the homeless shelters. When they are tagged, it assists getting the item on the right shelf and into the hands of those in need quicker.
Thank you Sarah, was so nice to hear from you again. Look forward to seeing you here again on Bridge and Beyond. Thank you for your long time support of Bridge and Beyond and the Homeless we serve.
Please keep up the good work.

Hats, Socks and Afghans Aid Homeless
Thank you Sheelagh for this thought and very generous donation. What a pretty afghan. I'm drawing a blank at the moment what this method/stitch is called. Lovely colors. One of the ladies will be thrilled to get this and curl up with it. It looks so springy right now which has me hopeful, as I'm soooooooo tired of winter. Entrelac Crochet. Took me a while to think about what it was. I personally have never used this method, but did a google search for a video. Most of the video's on how to do this are 30-40 minutes long. But, I did find this shorter version........whether this is enough to get someone going or not I'm not sure, but thought I'd post in case someone wants to check it out. Click Here
She's also been busy knitting hats. Tried to turn up the brim on the far left hat so you can see it's a different color on the inside. It's reversible...and or just really warm because it's doubled. The two black hats are so cute with a brim. Please do click to enlarge so you can see the details of these hats.
Sheelagh has also included socks! Yeah, we love getting socks to warm people's feet. Nothing worse than cold, wet feet. And if you're living in the elements or spending nights in a shelter but out and about during the day waiting until the time you can go in...........a change into warm socks is heaven.
Wonderful donation....but wink wink, there's more. Do pop back in again tomorrow to see the rest of her goodies. I'm trying not to add too many pictures at a time to help the loading time of the blog.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
