Hats for Homeless

Pick and size and color.......I think Tristi K. got it covered with the donation of crocheted hats.  Beautifully made, and nicely tagged with size.  Thank you Tristi.  Wish we could have connected, and hope we can next time.  It's always nice to catch up over a cup of tea.  A fun mix of hats for the school kids, including some nice darker colors for the boys.

Thank you and please keep up the good work.  Not only will 20 kids be warmer, but they'll look great with this donation.

**Please remember to tag all hats with size, as well as mittens and slippers**

Today, marks the end of the month of February.  Hard to believe it, time goes so quickly.  Tomorrow begins our focus on Men.  For the months of March and April our focus will be men and their needs.  Think dark, solids, sturdy, and warm for the men living under the bridges, and those in the shelters.  Men need hats, scarves, mittens, and slippers; as well as personal care items and store bought socks.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

Donations from Neighboring West Virginia

Thank you Kathy U from West Virginia for this thoughtful donation.  Kathy's knitted hats, scarves, and slippers.  Thank you Kathy for tagging your hats and slippers with the size, much appreciated.  I love the nice variety in hat sizes you made...something for a variety of head sizes.  I'm partial to those hats that stretch so much.  Nicely done!

Please keep up the good work.

The working calendar has been updated to reflect the first half of the year in two month groupings.  a bit different then we've done in previous years, so please if you've not read it in the last couple of weeks,  click on the calendar tab across the top of the blog.

Crocheted Donations for Those in Need

Another bright donation from our good friend RoseMarie.  Personal care items, slippers, hats, and a headband.......but then you all knew that.  We all know her signature mark of trim and flowers.  Thank you RoseMarie, as always we're thrilled to have you among us and know you'll continue to be supportive.

Folks, please let me encourage you all to scroll back 3 posts.  There are 2 posts I'd truly like you all to read, and comment on.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
