People with BIG Hearts

scarves, socks, and personal care for the homelessDon't be dishearten by watching so much news you think people are bad, evil, and nasty. I'm here to tell you people have big hearts. Knitters have big hearts, crocheters have big hearts, people who knit with looms have big hearts. Crafters are awesome people with kind and giving hearts. The proof is here each and everyday when we see wonderful things people with big hearts have taken their time to make. They buy the yarn, the take time to craft something special, they use their money to mail it to me. People who do this...WOW. You ALL ROCK!

This wonderful donation comes to us from Sarah S. Thank you Sarah for your ongoing support and thoughtful donation. Sarah sent 3 crocheted scarves, 5 wonderful wool warm pairs of socks, 6 crocheted granny squares, and 4 packages of personal care items (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss AND her wash clothes are hand crocheted as well!) You know everything is greatly appreciated. Stay tuned as I design another ghan, adding your squares to others I have on hand/ and or will yet receive from Give A Square.

YIPPEE!!!!

knitted scarves and money
We are making headway folks on all fronts. A nice card with $$ to purchase socks came while I was out of town from Cowgirl (Chris). I think I'll be able to get another dozen socks with this. Many thanks!

And a package has been sitting at the post office (insufficient postage, it wasn't lost; but apparently the notice telling me to pick it up was). Sarah, I'm not sure who you are here on the net; Sarah from Hawaii, lots of thanks for the 2 scarfs. Both are knitted. These are scarfs #66 and 67

Sing out if you're Sarah or know who she is, I like to make sure I know who's who.

Keep those hooks and needles flying.

It's still quite cold here much is still needed.
**I should add, unpacking and doing laundry today but plan to go shopping tomorrow for the socks!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
