Wonderful Crocheted Blue Scarves to Warm the Homeless

Who doesn't love blue?  Blue is good for men or women.  Lovely scarves from our friend, Ruth A.  I really love the size, long enough to wrap around for added warmth.  Ruth hails from Virginia and has been such a good supporter of Bridge and Beyond.

I love scarves, think how cool you sometimes are when your neck is exposed to just wind...even when it's not that cold out?  Scarves can make such a huge difference in someone's comfort in or outdoors.  You know even those indoors, in a shelter perhaps for the night could enjoy a nice soft warm scarf wrap around them.

Please keep up the good work Ruth, and know how much we appreciate your efforts.

(folks this is another post that should have been published some time ago, but was stuck in draft mode,so did a cut and paste so it would publish today.)  I'm double checking settings to see if I can determine what has changed that's causing this problem.

Mother Daughter Team Up to Donate to the Homeless

Holly Cow!  Seriously, look at the number of cotton crocheted washcloths in this donation.  PLEASE click to enlarge so you can see what I'm talking about.  Some are spread out, others are stacked with the others of the same color.  This wonderful donation is a result of team work, team work of a Mother and Daughter.  Many thanks Lisa Z (daughter) and Ruth A (Mother) for your joining forces to make this donation possible.  Lisa has recently gone back to work full time, but had a nice stash of both yarn and cotton fiber..........so she buddied up with Mother, Ruth A who managed to crochet the stash into a generous donation!

Ruth has also crocheted scarves, nice dark solids, suitable for both men and women.  The dark solids are so nice for not showing the dirt for our homeless friends.

Great work ladies, please keep up the good work.  Hope the new job goes well for you Lisa.

Crocheted Donations from Virginia for Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Ruth A for this thoughtful donation of hat and scarf sets.  Two purple and pink hat and scarf sets to make someone warm.  I think 2 teens will feel special, warm and loved.  Please keep up the good work.   Ruth is from Virginia, a state I consider a southern state that doesn't get as much winter as we do here in Ohio.  However, Virginia has had a couple of recent significant snow falls; so thank you for caring for the homeless here in Central Ohio.

Please keep up the good work, and stay warm yourself.

I'm listing our end numbers from 2015 and will subtract our current number as means of keeping our goal in front of us.  I'll show the goal number in Red.  Let's strive not just to match last years numbers, but.........work towards even more.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
