Thank you Karen S for this wonderful donation of two sided scarves. Love the texture and the contrast between the two sides of the scarves. If you've been to this blog before you probably recognize this technique, as one I call Karen's signature stitch. If you're new though to this sight, or just haven't seen this before, please check out the video I've posted a few times demonstrating how to perform this technique.
Karen has been a very generous and long time supporter here on Bridge and Beyond who does beautiful work. Many many thanks Karen, we truly appreciate you and your skills.
Please keep up the good work and know you make a difference!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

I've used the crochet on the double technique before. It does make such a nice, warm finished scarf. Karen's work is so pretty! Goodjob!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandie for the visit and comment. I keep saying I'm going to try it, but haven't yet. I do really like the look and it is extra warm.
DeleteSandy, whenever I make one of these I use these rules for the loops. 1) put loops on hook, 2) slide, 3) turn, 4) take loops off. If you're working with two colors, if you find you are picking up the same color yarn as the loops on your hook you’re at the wrong end. It's saved me many a time when I had to drop my work.
DeleteThanks for the tip Sandie, making a note of it.
DeleteBeautiful scarves Karen S!
