This is a bit of a different post here on Bridge and Beyond
This button appears with a link on my personal blog, Sandy's Space and I've posted it of late on facebook, so it's possible you've seen this before and know what it is. However, for those who don't...and because I've just had an idea; thought I'd post it here. Superpoints is a webpage where you do things to earn points, then you convert your earned points into gift cards and or money. Firstly you can save money through this webpage by buying some items you might have purchased anyway at a discount AND earn points in the process. You can print grocery coupons to save money and earn points. You can play games, watch video's, fill out surveys and earn points for doing so. Additionally, everyday you spin the above lucky button (30 spins in the beginning) perday. You can earn points with your spins. I've NEVER spun without earning something. It occurs to me, this could be used as a fundraiser. When you convert your points you have options of gift cards from places like Pizza Hut, Best Buy, Amazon and more. Amazon has everything under the sun. AND you can convert them to paypal money. Paypal provides lots of options too. You can purchase socks (something always needed at our shelters and for those under the bridge) through Amazon. You might want to get items for The Bridge, you might want to get items for your family so you have more money to buy yarn etc that you use for The Bridge. Either way, it seems like a fundraiser to me. And perhaps not just for the Bridge. Maybe you have something local you'd like to use this method for. Click on the button and join. Registration is fast and easy. Then verify your email addy and fill out your profile. That's it folks. I do suggest you set up a separate email account as there is an influx of email...this way you can keep it separate from your regular stuff.
Now before I had the bright idea of above, I had ordered these 2 fabulous needle organizers. I've had these in use now for a bit from the first round of points I converted to Amazon Gift Cards.
Here they are all nicely rolled up. One has my interchangeable Denise Set, and the other one has all my odds and ends...circular ones that is.
And I recently ordered this...a yarn organizer which I think will be good to tote to work and back, in the car, on planes...and use here at home when I'm using multiple yarns...you know like something is striped and you're looking for and untangling your yarn all the time. Argh. Anyway, if this works as well as my above needle organizers it will be great. Now, I'm feeling a bit selfish cause it was after ordering this that the idea popped into my head about fundraising. Though I am still spinning daily and earning points and hope to have more to convert; so perhaps it's not too late....and maybe...these organizational tools will aid in my quest to knit and crochet and be more efficient while making things for our folks in need here on Bridge and Beyond.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Another great idea Sandy. Using points for fundraising is a good idea. Yes, I have noticed not many comments out there lately. Guess everyone is on vacation. I love to read the comments and it only takes a minute to leave a small comment.
ReplyDeleteSandy---I signed up. Can't wait for all the goodies.
ReplyDeleteBTW--there have been several times when I've typed in a comment and then blogger says there's a problem. Maybe that's part of why comments are down. I don't always feel like trying again.
Thanks ladies for the visits and comments. Glad you joined Sue, let me know if you need any help. Thanks too for the info regarding leaving comments. I've not had that problem myself as I visit around, except where people have those awful captcha things that I can't read and have to try a couple of times.
