Day 19 of Jack Otis Memorial Month
How high can you count? 6 doz socks (5 x 12) and 31 packs of double ponchos (62) from our good friend AnneMarie. Poncho's and socks are needed and appreciated all year long, but especially this time of year when being cold and wet can be disastrous for those living outdoors and those living in temporary and or insufficient housing. Being cold and wet is unhealthy and uncomfortable. So many thanks AnneMarie for your thoughtful and very useful donation for Ohio's Homeless.
Tips: Using double yarn makes nice thick, sturdy warm slippers.
Photograph and print the blog post to keep track of your donations if you need it come tax time.
Do not tie and cut when changing or adding yarn. Please leave a tail of several inches and work your ends in.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated, and all donations keep someone warm. We help, one stitch at a time. YOU truly DO make a difference. THANK YOU!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

WOW!!! I am truly AMAZED! What a WONDERFUL donation, AnneMarie! Many, many thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully appropriate donation. We've had such odd weather here in Ohio - we're supposed to have thunderstorms later today - in November! So I'm sure those rain ponchos will be put to use and socks - always. AnneMarie your heart of gold makes such a difference for so many - thanks for your inspiration.
