WOW! Another month has passed us by. "Give a Square" is currently hibernating. It will be re-activated again, please keep knitting and crocheting squares and lay them aside for now. I need to assemble some of those ghans I've designed from your squares, AND design a few more. Please keep checking back to see our total number of squares (I have more to add to get our totals that came while I was out of town), and see how many ghans we have designed and ready to assemble...as well as how many ghans we've donated. You are all AWESOME.
PLEASE don't forget January, (that ended yesterday) was the month of our Rainbow Project were we joined forces with children from a local day care. The kids collected hats and mittens to add to our efforts. I'm hoping to make connections later this week to pick up their donations and let you all know what was collected.
February kicks off our slipper focus. As you know, if you've been reading the blog for awhile we knit and crochet and collect hats, mittens, scarves, and slippers all year long........But, we do like to highlight something each month in case you're needing a suggestion of what to make. Typically, it's the item most in need or items we're lowest on at the time. Slippers for February please. Slippers; knitted or crocheted primarily for the mothers and their children at Faith Mission (living in temporary housing due to homelessness and or being abused); but our mothers and children being treated at the 2 free clinics are also in need of warm comfortable feet. The men who are lucky enough to get a night in doors through Faith Mission could also use slippers---wearing the slippers might give them a chance to wash or dry the socks they've been wearing. So, slippers for men, women, and children. Warm, mostly solid (not lacey) are best for comfort and warmth. Due to being out of town, I don't yet have slippers patterns to post; but will be adding those if you don't have a pattern you like. Please check back.
Photo's taken and blog posts pending for donations from: Minnisoda, Sandie from LA, Eve, Yvonne, Phyllis, Stephanie, Trudy, Brenda, Sally and Amy. Please check back and enjoy the pictures of their lovely donations.
Please remember all donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated, and all donations keep someone warm. We help, one stitch at a time. It truly DOES make a difference. THANK YOU!
Can you believe this is our 326 post!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
