While not a well balanced meal, it is calories. Calories is what gives us energy, calories are needed to help warm our bodies. So, rather than eat calories I don't need; I packaged this candy into the last donation right along with our hats, scarves and mittens, and personal care items for our folks under the bridge. Rae said it would be a nice treat.
Several weeks ago while doing on line searches I came across a couple of webpages/blogs with listings of charities. I sent emails with our link hoping to spread the word about our cause and obtain some more helping hands. You really can't have too many, the needs are so great. I did hear back from one and am thrilled to report we are listed! Check it out, and thanks Lisa (webmaster) for the listing. If you're aware of other such directory type listings, please let me know.
In the meantime, keep those hooks and needles flying, all is appreciated. Thanks!
**Check back often for updates, and pictures of each other's handy work. Next up, hats from Bunny

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

We were inspired this morning. Target Dayton's choir came to our church to sing and testify. There's something really moving about a homeless person talking about how great God has been to them! Through donations, enough money was raised to send the choir on a road trip to Brooklyn to hear the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I'll be blogging about it. It's a wonderful story of miracles.
ReplyDeleteMay your ministry be blessed with many miracles this season!
Lily, that's fabulous. A trip to Brooklyn....no wonder you were inspired.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the well wishes for our group to have miracles this season too.
Sandy
I've seen the Bridge logo here and about so I think you're getting a good bit of exposure.
ReplyDeleteI have too Sandie, though am always working for more. One can't sit on their laurels and hope things happen
