Knitted Thanksgiving Afghan Travels to Ohio

Thank you Darling Daughter!  My Darling Daughter knitted this lapghan and brought it home in her suitcase when she visited for Thanksgiving!!  Love it.  Love the colors, so nice and soft made with Lion Brand Homespun.  Pink, Raspberry, Purple (sorta Heather), and a pretty green, though the picture isn't showing the colors very well.

This brings us one closer to our goal of matching last year.  We have about 35 days and need 29 afghans...can it happen?

Many thanks Darling Daughter, whomever gets this to snuggle up in will be thrilled.

Buckeye Afghan

Buckeye Afghan has been in the works for awhile.  The center red square was donated awhile back.  It was too small to be afghan or lapghan, so it's been added onto here and there, as I had appropriate yarn colors.  Some red, some gray...both light and dark, black and variegated red and gray.  Here it is being blocked after it was laundered.

Almost everyone in Ohio loves Buckeye Colors.  It works for men, or women, or teens.

We've not hit last years number of donated ghans, and have 36 days left.  Can we get 30 afghans in that period of time?  Who knows, maybe a few out there have some that are in the finishing stages?  We'll see how we end up.  Got my toes and fingers crossed.

New Helping Hands from Missouri Aid Ohio's Homeless.

Thank you Verlene, our newest pair of helping hands from the state of Missouri!  On the day when this photo was taken, we actually had sunlight coming through the windows....trust me, that's a rarity.  But, it does help you see the variety of colors she's used in her crocheted scarves.  My two favorites would be the 2 on the far left.  I like the purple one both in color and design.  And the mix of fall colors in the brownish-orange one is quite appropriate for this time of the year.

We thrilled to have you join us Verlene and look forward to seeing you here often on Bridge and Beyond.

Ohio's Homeless will be warmer with your donation of 5 scarves.  Many thanks, and please keep up the good work.

We have 37 days in the year...if we try to make last years mark for scarves, we would need at least 5 scarves a day to be donated, plus 8 between tomorrow and the end of December.  WOW, don't think we're going to make that folks, but let's push a bit and see where we end up.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
