Crocheted Hats and Scarves help Homeless

Thank you Patty C for this wonderful donation of crocheted hats to warm Ohio's Homeless.  What a nice variety of sizes and colors she's included in her crocheted donation.  She's also included 3 crocheted scarves.

Hats and scarves are used here in Ohio probably 11 months out of 12.  Even in the hot summer months, nights can be cool and  damp and a scarf and hat can truly make a person more comfortable, when living out in the elements.  Homeless are often more cold than we are, even during warmer months, because their nutrition isn't good, and food is fuel that helps warm the body.  So please, even as you see things warm up a bit folks....keep up your needle work.  Remember, we here at Bridge and Beyond knit and crochet and donate all year long, not just when it's nasty out.

Thank you for all you do, and please keep up the good work.

**Would the person who donated red and gray socks, knitted hat and scarf please make contact.  You can email me at sandycrochet@gmail.com, leave a comment here on the blog, and or leave a note using the contact form here on the blog.**

**We started the year with the number of items we had donated last year, 2016; and will subtract our donations from that.  Using the end number for 2016 as the goal for the each item.  So, as the year continues you will see numbers decrease.  Our goal is to meet and surpass the number of items donated last year.**

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

Helping Homeless in Ohio

A soft fluffy child's blanket/ghan crocheted and donated by Carol W.  I've laid this aside to donate in a different manner, as we don't normally have small children/toddlers in need at the shelters we support. It will be donated to Rae, our friend who feeds homeless folks on Sat mornings, as she has contacts where a pastel toddlers ghan would be more appropriate.

Carol is our newest pair of helping hands, and we hope to see you here again on Bridge and Beyond.  Welcome to the group.

Weather has been odd around the country with certain areas having extreme conditions.  We are temporarily warmer then normal, but...don't be fooled by that folks.  We're expecting winter conditions again in just a few days, so please keep your yarn, hooks, and needles busy.

Thank you

Crocheting from the Heart Warms Homeless

Thank you Emily!  What a nice donation with crocheted mittens (see me clapping and dancing!), hats, and a scarf.  Emily's also included some hand sanitizer with her thoughtful donation.  Her hats are a variety of sizes to help warm different sized heads.  Really like the 2 tone brown one.

Thanks for being such a loyal supporter of Bridge and Beyond, Emily.  Please know how much we appreciate you and your efforts.

As always, keep up the good work.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
