Warm Feet Make The Whole Body More Comfortable

Thank you Cheryl B for this awesome donation of warm cute slipperys.  Cheryl has crocheted nice and tight, and I think maybe used double yarn to make these slippers truly sturdy.  They are cute, and will be warm and substantial...14 people will have comfy warm feet.  Click  to enlarge folks so you can see how cute they are with the decorations she's added.  AND, she's also crocheted and included a scarf with her donation.  The colors of the scarf don't show up well, it's black and burgundy.

Very nice Cheryl, please keep up the good work.

2 Dozen Crocheted Hats Donated to Warm Homeless

Thank you Patty C from Ohio for this thoughtful and generous donation of 2 dozen crocheted hats.  Nice  color combinations, love all the black and the dark burgundy's especially.  2 dozen more happy warm heads folks, how great is that.  In my opinion, hats and socks are the two most important items needed to try and stay warm.  This  past weekend I sat in the cold rain at The Ohio State footgame when we lost to Michigan State and I can tell from first hand experience..........those were the 2 areas that bothered me most.  My feet got wet and my ears were cold.  I kept pulling the hood tighter and stamping my feet.

We've had several mornings of 24 and 26 degree temperatures this week......folks, that's cold.  I hope you're all staying busy with your knitting needles, crochet hooks, and yarn.  The homeless need us.

Thank you Patty!

Donations from Rhode Island Aid Homeless in Ohio

Thank you Mary H from Rhode  Island for this colorful and warm donation of knitted scarf/panels.  These are going to become an afghan or two and possibly a shawl.  Lovely colors to work with.  As soon as laid these out to photograph I could envision several fun colorful possibilities.  I'm anxious to play with them and see what they become.  Stay tuned  folks, because Mary has quite an eye for some modern colorful patches within these scarf panels.

Many thanks for your thoughtful creative donation, please keep up the good work Mary!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
