Donating Lavender Afghan

Look at this awesome crocheted afghan Maria R from Texas donated!  I love the design Maria, very pretty!  It's sized so someone can really cover up with this and feel both physical warmth and loved.  It was such gloomy day when this picture was taken the true color just isn't showing up.
Here's the real color.  See how pretty!  I kept moving it around the house to try and get more light.
The indoor lights just weren't helping, so here it is on my dining room table by the large glass door...the best I could do to get some natural light so you could see the true color and still keep it dry (rainy day).

Many thanks Maria for this thoughtful donation, and please keep up the good work. Folks be sure and pop back in, this wasn't all Maria crocheted and donated.

Slippers

A little something to put a smile on your face.  LOL  I truly cracked up (that saying really dates me I know),when I first saw this no pattern slippers...every knitter and crocheter should get a kick out of this.  Heck...even folks who don't knit or crochet should enjoy this.  Just slip your foot in a big old ball/skein of yarn...and tie them.

*Disclaimer.........don't try this at home folks!

Laughing aside, slippers are always needed.  They'reused by  folks in shelters to get their feet out of cold wet socks and shoes...giving them a chance to dry things out.  They're also appreciated by those living on the streets as they attempt to get warm or more comfortable or sponge out there socks.  We have both knitted crocheted slipper patterns here on the blog just click on the slipper tat across the top of the page of click Here

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
