Spotted this some time back on Facebook and thought it worth saving and sharing with you all. I personally agree with this statement, stitch away the stress. I know when my Mother was critical ill I sat many hours in ICU at her bedside stitching. Through the years I've read many blogs where others have done a similar thing, some talk about being able to keep their hands busy, others talk about keeping the mind focused on something else, others discussed how it was the one "normal" thing they were able to do. I know we all face ups and downs, does yarn help you?
I hope things are well with you all, and you're not in need of stress releasing stitching, that you're all just stitching for the pure enjoyment of it, but if you are stressed...I hope you find some comfort in your yarn and needles and hook.

Crocheted Goodies Help the Homeless
Many thanks Beth G for this awesome donation of crocheted goodies! Beth has crocheted nice large scarves, large enough to really wrap around for added warmth that really works well for the folks out in the elements. She's also included socks and lots of personal care items...even shoe laces......which is great!! I never thought about that, but think it's a great idea based on what I've seen. Good thinking on your part Beth. She's also crocheted the ever popular cotton washcloths.
Many thanks Beth for this thoughtful donation, please keep up the good work.

Crocheted Donations Help Ohio's Homeless
Another pretty lacy feminine afghan from Patty C's crochet hook. Please scroll back to yesterday's post to see her other pretty's. These are motive style granny squares joined together to make a lovely afghan. Patty's joined 16 squares, so it's a very nice sized square. Luck be the lady tonight, an old Frank Sinatra song popped into my head as I was getting ready to type how lucky the lady who receives this beauty is. Anyone as old as me know the song?
Yesterday I said Patty's been busy and I really wasn't teasing folks. Hats galore and a couple of scarves round out her thoughtful donation. Whew...
Thank you also Patty for taking the time to tag your hats with the size, it helps everyone.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
