Today's the last month of July, so I thought I show you were we are today with where we at this time last year.  I've included the 8 primary things we knit, crochet, and donate which doesn't include all the personal care items, headbands, poncho's, gators and those types of things.  The good news is of the 8 items you can see we've been able to donate more this year then last for 5 of the 8 items.  We're only behind of last years mark, at this time in the year on 3 items, Hats, Rain Poncho's, and Mittens.  Rain Poncho's is hardly worth mentioning, because we're in good shape there.

MITTENS, and hats were in need of beefing up, so if you're undecided about what you'd like to knit or crochet, please direct your attention there.  We have extensive information regarding sizing for hats in the hat tab, along with some patterns.  Though less information, we also have a mitten tab with available information and patterns you might like to use.

Please remember for both hats and mittens, to label your items with the size you made.  Please also pair your mittens by attaching them together.  If you are one who doesn't necessarily use a hat pattern, please take time to measure it using the various charts available and label with the size.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

Hats and Scarves Essentials for Ohio's Homeless

Crocheted hats and scarves from our long time friend and fabulous supported Gail B. from Virginia.  Gail B. is a member over at Crochetville, you might know her from there as well.  I love the nice manly solid colors....always a first choice for men we care for through the various shelters and Rae who hand deliveries items when she prepares hot meals for those living out in the element.

AND, special thanks Gail for tagging your hats with size.  I'm trying hard to get EVERYONE to do that, it's important to know what size you all make so I know where the items should be donated.  I really can't try every hat on and quess, so please, please, pretty please tag all your hats, your slippers, and your mittens with the size you knitted or crocheted.

Thank you Gail and please keep up the good work, I know Ohio's Homeless appreciate YOU.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
