Thank you Becky. Three cute knitted hats and a crocheted scarf. These will go to the clinic and keep some kids warm. I particularly like the larger of the 3 hats, such unusual yarn and colors. Does anyone know Becky? She didn't send her email, or her on blogger ID and I can't find an email from her to know whom she is to thank her. The note in the pouch was written with a fat marker and is hard to read/think it got smeared a bit. I believe Becky is from the state of Washington? I've looked through RAV members but haven't found her in the Bridge group there.
Hoping Becky see's this and lets me know whom or where she is.
Many thanks Becky.

Please keep knitting and crocheting folks, it's bitter cold here, was only 2 degrees when I got up yesterday morning. My widget isn't working today, so not sure how cold it is right now; but my house still hasn't warmed up and I'm wearing a scarf indoors....does that tell you how cold it is here.

Socks for cold feet
Deciding it was time to straighten and clean out my draws a bit. Did a couple of hubby's draws awhile back and never got around to doing mine. These 11 pair of socks were making my draw too crowded; so sending this in the next pouch for the ladies under the bridge.
Hoping to have some more scarves done in the near future.

What a haul!
The box from June M in Michigan overflowed! Socks always are needed (14) pairs, mittens (3), scarf (1), 5 sweatshirts, down type vest, 4 flannel shirts, 3 pr heavy hunting type socks, and 8 packages of soap wrap in a wash cloth in their own zip lock bag! I love the way you wrap those, sorry it doesn't show up real well in the photo. Very nice, personal care items are always in short supply. June you made my day and think how many people we can warm with your generous and thoughtful donation. It's so cold right now June I'm gonna rush this delivery; those folks under the bridge really really need these items.
Many thanks

Our first Hats in 2010
"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" . Thought of this today when my favorite mail carrier trudge through cold temperatures to deliver my package from Sandie. It was 13 today, damp, snow on the ground. Cold folks and that's an understatement. I didn't know until I looked up the quote today that it is actually not the creed/motto of the Post Office. I always thought it was. Learn new things every day.
Back to the business at hand, many thanks Sandie for these 3 super soft hats crocheted from more of that fun Moda Dea Tweedle Dee Yarn. These are sized nicely for those folks under the bridge, and given the blend of the yarn (80% acrylic, 16% wool and 4% other fibers) will be nice and warm. Thank you bunches!! How many hats can you get from a skein? I note 155 yards in the skein, nice size.

Wanted to share this poem with you all. My SIL wrote this for me some time back and I really like it and thought I'd post so you all could enjoy. It so fits our cause.

Give me a hook
And as least one skein
Don’t need a book
To begin the chain.
It might start from here
It might start from there
Our yarn makes warmth
With hats to wear.
Our yarn spreads love
To nameless faces
Our yarn is a gift
That goes many place.
We judge no one
By the lives they lead
Our yarn makes us humble
Humble indeed.
Thank you so much Jan for this very meaningful poem2010

Sandie's scarf is such a neat wave of color. It's soft, and will be warm; as she's used sc I believe. Shoot thought you might be able to see the label from the yarn, it's called Tweedle Dee. lol Shaded effect yarn by Moda Dea. If you've used Moda Dea before you know how soft it is, but you might not be familiar with this Tweedle Dee. I wasn't.
As always Sandie, thanks so much for your ongoing support of our cause.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
