Give them Back, Stella! NOW

Stella, you can model them but they are NOT for you. It's warm and toasty here in the house, those folks under the bridge without a roof over their heads need them. Bunny made them "special" for them. Nice man sized warm soft luscious mittens, a large thick warm soft scarf, and 2 awesome hats. The 2nd hat didn't turn out well in the photo, it's a neat variegated--didn't realize how close to the colors of my spread it was and so it doesn't show up very well. Shoot. Iquickly added these items to the bags for delivery; as it's been horribly cold here with more promised. These folks are really in need of the warmth we can provide. Thank you Bunny.

Please, I know this is a busy time of the year for us all; but do your level best to keep those hooks and needles flying.

So many appreciate YOU!

Most of you know how much of a ham Dear Stella is, AND how excited she get's when she gets to model your beautiful creations. Doris sent out an email to tell Stella to be on the look out. Well..........here she is folks!

Hats and scarves the kids/young teens at the clinic will love. 2 matching sets of hats and scarves, 4 scarves, and 10 total hats. Thanks so much Doris. All are crocheted. Blue, Green, yellow, burgundy red and a very pretty light green, and don't forget the fun camo.........wonderful.

Stella is jumping for joy!

Rae's Mother Reaches out again

crocheted scarf
This scarf is made from the stash Rae passed along to me from her mother. I think she'd be pleased to know it's going to this project, The Bridge. The scarf measures 7 inches wide by 76 inches long.........so one can double up in it and keep warm. I love the variegated tans and white and have more of this yarn that will also be used for charitable purposes.

We had snow yesterday, though am happy to report it didn't stick. Colder today than yesterday, though folks PLEASE keep those knitting needles and crochets hooks busy. The need is great.

Hats 351 + 5 = 356
Mittens 54 pairs + 1 = 55 pairs
Scarves 132 + 1 = 133
Socks 79 pairs

**have had some technical issues, but have the mileage widget working again; so have crocheted/knitted .65 miles with yarn from Rae's Mother's Stash. Wish I could change the wording on the widget.

I doth my Hat

crocheted hats4 crocheted (I think the two goldish colored hats are suede?) hats from Chizoba in Baltimore. Welcome to our group and many thanks for the helping hands. You may not know Stella (as a newbie to the group), but she's not camera shy; in fact she can be a bit of a camera hog. Oh Stella, how she loves to try on hats and scarves.

Again many thanks for your thoughtful donation, it is so truly appreciated. I will get the hat back from Stella (when's she's asleep), and it will go to those in need.

Pick a Color! Something to be Thankful for

Pick a color, if you can. So many to choose from. Karen and Frank have done it again!!

knitted hats, neck warmers

Look at this mound of wonderful goodness. Hats from Frank in every color one can imagine. Forty (40) of them to be exact. Frank you are awesome! Frank knits his many hats on a round loom. Karen has added 10 neck gators/warmers that are also knitted on a loom, as well as 2 crocheted scarves. All are fabulous and so nicely done. Many many thanks to you both.

What am I Thankful for this Thanksgiving? For 1, wonderful people like you all who make it possible for us to help those who have less than we do. I also posted something else to be Thankful for on my Travel Blog.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
