What a wonderful donation of crocheted goodies!! This donation comes from a good friend of mine, and someone I graduated from high school with 50 ish years ago. We got to see each other last October at our 50th Class Reunion. So grateful we managed to have the reunion BEFORE all the troubled times with the virus.
Joy D, does beautiful work. Look at all the hats and matching scarf sets. The scarves are all folded rather than draped so I would be able to get them all in the picture. Hats of different sizes to warm a variety of head sizes. She's also crocheted some cotton washcloths and included personal care items in her generous donation.
Many thanks Joy and know what an important difference you make to homeless Ohioans.
As always, please keep up the good work. AND please stay safe during these difficult times.

Crocheted Hats and Scarves Help the Homeless
Thank you Karen S for this awesome donation of crocheted hats and scarves.
Karen often uses this different style of crocheting with her scarves that gives you a light and dark side of a scarf. It's been awhile since I've talked about this method, but thought I would again; for those who may be here to Bridge and Beyond for the first time, or simply not seen it before.
It has many names, and here's the video showing you how to do. If you try it, let us know.
Karen always adds cute little size tags to her hats. These hats are knitted on a loom. This style hat is made with double yarn making it especially warm. And while many of us around the country are nice and warm now that it's summer, we will be in need of warm hats and scarves before you know it.
Many thanks Karen for your thoughtful donation, please know what an important difference you make. AND please keep up the good work.

Awesome Donation from Sunny Florida Helps Ohio's Homeless
Thank you, thank you Sandra R for this awesome donation. Apologies folks, this picture and that of another donation (which will be the post after this), were in no mans land...somehow I didn't have them on my phone any longer and couldn't find them on the computer after transferring them there. YIPPEE I found them.
This awesome donation of knitted mittens, hats, and scarves come from our good friend Sandra R from the sunny state of Florida. Poor Florida right now is having a bad time of it with the Covid, please stay safe Sandra. Ohio is getting worse each day also, but Florida increases seem worse.
Sandra has been one of our long time supporters here on Bridge and Beyond and her mad knitting skills........particularly with mittens always has been clapping and or dancing in the street.
I also love how she includes such variety in styles, sizes, and colors with her hats, and always tags them with size, which really aids the volunteers and workers at the shelters. Right now even more so, as I actually need to make an appointment to do deliveries, with their limited hours to help protect their employees and those they/we serve.
As always Sandra, many thanks and know you truly make a difference.

Louisiana Aids Ohio's Homeless
Thank you Sandie P from Louisiana! Sandie has been very busy with her crochet hook, as you can see. She included cotton washcloths and scarves in her generous donation. Both are items always well received.
The cotton washcloths have so many uses from using on your body to the dishes. They are used when folks get a night in the shelter, as they are kinder to the skin than many store bought cloths. They are used in welcome home packs when folks transition from shelter living to a permanent housing situation. They are used by the folks under bridge, as well as those in the shelters.
Scarves, you never can have too many. When you're out in the elements you might need one for you neck, your head, and or shoulders. LOVE the colors Sandie.
Many thanks for your long term support of Ohio's Homeless and Bridge and Beyond. Please keep up the good work.

Hats and Cotton Washcloths Aid the Homeless
Thank you Christine D for this awesome hand delivered donation.
As you can tell, Christine has been busy with here knitting needles. A dozen hats all different sizes, super stretchy so they really will fit a variety of head sizes. They're supper soft and so nicely made. They have already been delivered and could be keeping someone warm as we speak. I made a scheduled deliver, wearing my mask to Homeless Families Foundation. They were waring masks, and gloves and practicing social distancing as well. We've had some cool nights so they were very happy to get this donation (had quite a few bags).
And she's also included 5 of everyone's favorite corner to corner cotton washcloths.
Many thanks for thoughtfulness, and your special delivery. Please keep up the good work.

Sunshine State Helps Ohio's Homeless
Thank you Sandra R for this wonderful donation. This afghan is very soft, both in color and texture. Whomever wraps up in this is going to be happy, most assuredly. I'm not sure I've seen this particularly granny square pattern before, but find it very interesting. Please click to enlarge so you can see the details and textures.

Many many thanks Sandra for your skillful hands and your big heart. Please know how much you are appreciated by all who participate with Bridge and Beyond, all those at the various Homeless Shelters, as well as all who receive your goodies. Please keep up the good work.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
