Thank you Phyllis G for this fabulous knitted donation of warm hats and matching scarves, and slippers. I love the colors you've chosen, as most will work for either men or women. Everything is so nicely size also. Each hat and pair of slippers nicely tagged with size as well, though I tucked the tugs under the items for the photo opt.
The style hat is nice and stretchy so will fit a good variety of head sizes.
Thank you Phyllis, please keep up the good work.

Crocheted Diagonal Afghan Donated to the Homeless
Thank you Nikki S for this colorful and cheery afghan. It's size nice for a child or teen to wrap up and stay warm. Folks this is crocheted and made on the diagonal with many many different colors. This was Nikki's first afghan. How sweet to give away the first item you made.
Please keep up the good work.
Folks this has already been delivered, as I write and schedule to posts, often a couple of weeks in advance so by the time you typically read the post the donated items are already in the hands of those in need. I almost had to make two deliveries with the volume I had in hand this last time round. I really had the car packed to the gills which is awesome. I'm so pleased to see donations picking up again, as our numbers have been lower then other years.
Thank you all, and please keep up the good work.

Knitted Afghans Give Hope
Another knitted afghan from my long time friend (junior high and high school friend...practically back in the dark ages, lol), Marilyn M. This nice thick warm afghan is made with double chunky yarn, I think and looks very southwest to me in it's design. The family who receives this is going to be thrilled. Sorry the picture is a bit dark folks, hard to get decent pictures sometimes when it's dark and gloomy outdoors.........even with all the inside lights on.
Many thanks for all your efforts Marilyn, please keep up the good work!
As you know our afghans provide physical warmth, but they also provide hope for a brighter future for the families we serve.

Knitted Afghans Help Ohio's Homeless
Thank you Marilyn W for this awesome donation of crocheted afghans. I LOVE the colors in this first one, I think it's sorta Buckeyeish. It's made with double yarn or chunky yarn, not sure...hey Marilyn which? It's therefore nice and warm and squishy. This will surely make someone's day when they receive it.
Ahhhhhhh, Feather and Fan a real favorite of mine, it's always such a good pattern choice. Again this is made with chunky or double yarn and will keep someone nice and cozy.
Marilyn is a high school classmate of mine, well actually we've known each other even longer then that. We knew each other way back in junior high, so it's very special to me that she's helping us here on Bridge and Beyond. We enjoyed a bit of catch up the other day when we met for breakfast so she could along her donations.
**stay tuned folks, there's more; but remember I'm breaking up some of the donations to minimize the number of pictures in a post, to help you all see the lovely items better, and to give us more consistency with a post daily**
2014 DONATIONS:
Hats: 826
Scarves: 389
Socks: 187
Afghans: 25+2=27
Slippers: 98
Rain Ponchos: 61
Mittens & Gloves:120
Wrist Warmers/Fingerless gloves: 4
Cotton Washcloths: 329
Misc. (Shawls, Sweaters, Vests, Poncho's, Skirts, cowls/mobius, and Shrugs etc.) aren't tabulated.
Personal Care Items: Shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, cream, hand warmers, lipbalm, floss, soap, shaving cream, razors etc aren't tabulated
**Still looking for Jane Burmeister or someone from The Sullivan Group, if you're out there, please use the contact form in the right side bar to hail me. Thank you.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
