Helping Hands from Illinois Help Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Karen J from Illinois for this awesome donation of crocheted hats and scarves.  Look at the nice variety both in color and in size of Karen's hats!  And special thanks for taking time to tag them with size.  I am asking everyone to do that, please and thanks.  It saves enormous time both at my end and again the time of the volunteers at the various shelters.

Please say hello to Pat O from New York, our newest pair of helping hands.  Pat's crocheted 2 scarves and included much needed personal care items in her donation.  The blue scarf I believe is made with double yarn as it's nice and thick, though it could be bulky yarn?  Did you crochet using 2 strands of yarn, Pat?

Yarn on the Brain

Do you suffer from Yarn on the Brain?  If you do, you are not alone.  Take this self quiz to see if you should be so diagnosed.

• Do you think about what color of yarn you have in your stash?
• Do you worry you might not remember all the places you hid your stash?
• Do you store yarn in the car so hubby doesn't know you bought more yarn?
• Do you squish yarn between your fingers at your local yarn shop?
• Do buy yarn you don't need to make projects not yet identified, because it's pretty, or because it's on sale?

Just as I thought, you are suffering from a common problem, a common diagnosis for which there is no cure.  YOU are suffering from "Yarn on the Brain".  The good news is you are not alone.

Knit One Squirrel Two

This made me smile, hope it does you as well.  Spotted this the other day on Facebook.

Speaking about Facebook, are you connected to us there?  The link is in the right sidebar.  All updates and documentation etc will continue to be here on the blog.  However, the blog posts are linked there in an effort to obtain more pairs of helping hands.  There are people we reach on Facebook that we might not here; so the two together hopefully is advantageous.

As of the writing of this scheduled post, it's 27 but feels like it's 16....we might have sprung forward with daylight savings time, but I can tell you it still feel too far away from spring for comfort, so please folks keep busy with your yarn.
