Cotton WashCloths Always Need at Family Shelters

Thank you Linda J for these crocheted cotton washcloths.  These are always a bit hit at all the family shelters we deliver our donations to.  Nice variety in size and designs.  People use them as washcloths, and as dishcloths.  They're used when people first come into the shelters and need so much, and they're used in moving out packages to aid them setting up housekeeping when they transition from shelter to permanent housing.

Please keep up the good work, Linda.

Donations help to Warm Cold Feet

Thank you Dorothy M for this wonderful donations of knitted slippers, socks, and hand/feet warmers.  I love the nice variety in colors and sizes in your slippers.  Thank you too for tagging them with size...I love it when people do that and so do the various shelters who receive our donations.

Cold feet make people miserable so slippers and socks are always a welcome site when I make delivers at Homeless Families Foundation, Faith Mission and so forth.

Please keep up the good work Dorothy!

New Helping Hands in Kentucky to aid Ohio's Homeless

Please welcome Dori F from Kentucky!  Dori is our good friend Tristi's sister, our newest pair of helping hands, AND our first donator from the State of Kentucky.  Drum roll folks....we've added another state to our map.  Do scroll down and take a look at the map, it's quite exciting to add a new state, to add friends and family members of our fabulous members, and new pairs of helping hands all at the same time.  Thank you Dori for these 2 cute hats and scarf.  Special thanks for tagging them with size....I always encourage everyone to tag slippers, mittens, and hats.

Welcome, and many thanks.  Please keep up the good work.  Hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond.

Donating Slippers warm Cold Feet

Thank you Tristi for this awesome donation of fabulous slippers!  Look how many colors and sizes folks.  This are awesome.  19 People will know have warmer feet!   I can't tell you how happy Homeless Families were the last time I took a whole bag of slippers...they are always so well received.  I particularly love that you made with them double yarn...the 2 strands of yarn together really is a huge plus in making slippers.  They're thicker, warmer, and very durable.  Awesome work once again Tristi, keep up the good work.

Completed Afghans for Homeless Families Foundation

Thank you Tristi for putting this beautiful afghan, Crown Jewels together.  I love that you choose black to edge and join, it really pops!
This gorgeous ghan is called Purple Mountain Majesty.  Thank you Trisit.  I so appreciate your help with assembling these ghans.  These two afghans truly show team work at it's finest.  Squares from lots of different hands, some solids, some variegated, some granny style in stitches, others sorta sampler style all pulled beautifully together by Tristi's skillful hands.

These afghans are both nicely sized for families and will be very much appreciated by Homeless Families Foundation and the 2 families who received them.

And, as Tristi and I pass squares and completed ghans back and forth, we're enjoying the bonus of building a nice friendship as we get to know each other better with each visit over tea.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
