When I started this afghan, I had only a few balls of yarn and thought perhaps I'd make squares to join together, but changed my mind and periodically bought another color I liked. It's knitted all in garter stitch, binding off a section then picking up stitches to go another direction. It's made with washable wool, Plymouth. It's a nice change for the hands after the last 2 afghans from acrylic. Acrylic makes wonderful afghans, and is durable; it's just a bit harder on the hands while knitting or crocheting.
Had fun finding bright cherry colors. Had initially called this another eclectic afghan, but since I've already used that name. Thought of Blanket of Many Colors which several folks said they liked better.........so there you go.
This will be donated to Homeless Families Foundation, like all of our afghans.
It's being dried/blocked here in the picture. It's not stretch out quite as well as I would have liked; but...Dear Hubby did this for me, as I am not mobile. Currently in a boot, non weight bearing due to a broken bone in my foot. So, I thank him for his efforts. The afghan is quite large, soft, warm and very bright and cherry...even if not stretched quite enough to be super straight.

Adding Woven Throws to our Afghan Donations for Homeless Families Foundations.
I purchased these two throws some time back, and forgot I had them on hand. Found them when doing some cleaning out of the closet. Guess, that's something one should do from time to time. No telling what you might find, lol. These two throws are the same size as many of the aghans that have been donated, or those that I've made; so believe they will be happily received and keep someone warm. They both have a very southwest feel and look to them, and are women blankets.
They, like all of our afghans will be donated to Homeless Families Foundation.

Colorful Crocheted Scarf for Homeless
Thank you Sandie P for this colorful and very soft scarf. I love these colors. What's this yarn called? Sandie is a long time supporter of Bridge and Beyond. We appreciate your dedication to the cause over all these years. For those who may be new to reading this blog, Sandie and I met working together on a different charity YEARS ago...Katrina hit her area and she organized a charity to help people during that time, so you know how long ago that was. Sandie and I have known each other here on line for all those years.
Thank you Sandie P, as always keep up the marvelous work.

Knitted Washcloths and Scarves Help Bridge and Beyond Help Those in Need
Thank you Melinda for this thoughtful donation of knitted scarves and cotton washcloths. While I know the calendar says it's Spring, it hasn't looked like it, or felt like it here in Ohio. We had 24 degrees this am at 9 am and it's been cold like that every morning for the last couple of weeks. Well below normal temperatures. I'm cold here in the house, can't imagine how our homeless friends are fairing.
So, warm scarves...are still very much needed. And cotton washcloths are used all year long, regardless of the weather conditions.
Thank you for your support of Homeless in need here on Bridge and Beyond. And please keep up the good work and know you are making a difference, an important one.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
