Inching Our Way to our Donations Goals

Thank you Sandra from Florida.  As you can see, she's been very busy.  I really think she must knit in her sleep with the quantity she is able to produce for Bridge and Beyond through out the year.  Sandra has included 7 more pairs of mittens bring our yearly total to 9 over last year.  So truly exciting!

She's gotten us a bit closer on our scarf goal.  Believe we have 34 days and need 190...how close will we get?  Only time will tell.

AND she's managed 22 hats really making a nice dent in our hat goal.

Many thanks Sandra for your kindness and generosity.  As always, beautifully made hats, scarves, and mittens.  And special thanks too for tagging mittens and hats with size.

You truly Rock!!

Knitted Scarf

Recently finished this scarf which is my car scarf.  I say that because I worked on it while I spent time sitting in the car on my way to and from Hilton Head.  Though I finished it here at home, the bulk of it was made in the car while traveling.

The yarn is Satin, very nice and soft and from my stash of donated yarn.  I believe the colors will work for either male or female.

Knitted Thanksgiving Afghan Travels to Ohio

Thank you Darling Daughter!  My Darling Daughter knitted this lapghan and brought it home in her suitcase when she visited for Thanksgiving!!  Love it.  Love the colors, so nice and soft made with Lion Brand Homespun.  Pink, Raspberry, Purple (sorta Heather), and a pretty green, though the picture isn't showing the colors very well.

This brings us one closer to our goal of matching last year.  We have about 35 days and need 29 afghans...can it happen?

Many thanks Darling Daughter, whomever gets this to snuggle up in will be thrilled.

Buckeye Afghan

Buckeye Afghan has been in the works for awhile.  The center red square was donated awhile back.  It was too small to be afghan or lapghan, so it's been added onto here and there, as I had appropriate yarn colors.  Some red, some gray...both light and dark, black and variegated red and gray.  Here it is being blocked after it was laundered.

Almost everyone in Ohio loves Buckeye Colors.  It works for men, or women, or teens.

We've not hit last years number of donated ghans, and have 36 days left.  Can we get 30 afghans in that period of time?  Who knows, maybe a few out there have some that are in the finishing stages?  We'll see how we end up.  Got my toes and fingers crossed.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
