These 18 squares have been joined since I took this picture and a few others as well. I'm finding stitching these together more challenging then normal. I seem to only be able to work on it with natural light, thus outside. Some of these squares have partially felted I believe, so not really able to find the actual stitch to put together. I normally don't accept wool, but no one knew what these were they were found..........so, will play through and assemble and will note it when it's donated. This afghan, as you might remember is called Grannies Surprise.
I'm basically reaching into a bag pulling out squares and stitching them together, so very randomly; unless I get two of the same, then I go fish again.

Crocheted Hats and Scarves warm the Homeless
Thank you Diana K for this thoughtful donation. Hats and scarves, some matching sets as well, all beautifully crocheted. A good variety in hat sizes which is always helpful. Colors for both the men folk and the ladies. If you click to enlarge the picture and see details folks, you can see some of the hats with the brim rolled up, and in others I rolled it down so you could see the hat both ways. Options are always nice.
Keep up the good work Diana. Many folks will now be warmer, thank you.

Wine or Yarn?
I like wine and I like yarn so had to laugh when I saw this posted awhile back and thought I'd share it with you. Now it looks like you could store quite a bit of yarn instead of wine........provided you had the right size skeins/cakes. I'm curious what size that actually is. Thoughts? I suppose this could even be double duty.........you could have both wine and yarn together in one place? This looks to be in an actual yarn shop given the hanks hanging beside it, though I suppose this could be someone's craft room, living room, end of the bedroom or whatever.
I always get a kick out of seeing how people store or display their lovely yarns, hope you do as well.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
