I love opening boxes of such awesome donations! You all do so much, it truly thrills me. This fabulous donation comes from our very busy Gail B from Virginia. Lots of luscious scarves. Can't you feel how luscious they are by looking! Gorgeous browns! Nice and big too, so the men folks can wrap up.
A nice solid green also good for either the men or the women. Gail's also crocheted hats, and included always needed personal care items.
The box was stuffed! Look, more goodies. More scarves, personal care items, socks, and beautiful cotton washcloths round out her generous donation. She's really included something for everyone here.
Many thanks for your on going support, please keep up the good work Gail.

Warming the Homeless Through Crochet
AnneMarie, do you sleep? Seriously you must crochet with the fastest hook around. Hats to fit many different sized heads, in lots of different colors! Many thanks also AnneMarie for tagging all your hats with size, it really is so very helpful. There are solids, darks, brighter colors too. Some hats perfectly suited to the menfolk, others great for the ladies, and some for teens as well.
She's also crocheted some scarves! A marvelous and caring donation to help many people in need.
Many thanks AnneMarie!

Afghans Celebrate an Important Move
Another awesome ripple-ish type afghan from our good friend AnneMarie (if you missed yesterday's post, please scroll back to see her other afghans). I say ripple-ish because it's sorta a ripple, but softer ups and downs. This one is slightly different in that it has a bit of feather and fan to it (feather and fan are a common ripple style used in knitting). LOVE the colors. This will be great to snuggle up in.
And everyone knows this style afghan, the most recognisable style afghan that probably exists. A granny style, beautifully made with bright cheery colors. Two more lucky family's will receive these afghans through our Project Welcome Home, where we donate afghans as folks transition from shelter living to their permanent housing situation. Something to celebrate. Our afghans are a way to say Congratulations for moving forward, and best of luck for a brighter future.
As always, thank you for your generosity AnneMarie. Keep up the good work. Be sure and pop in tomorrow for the final box of goodies from AnneMarie

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
