Slipper Socks Warm Homeless Feet

Wonderfully warm slipper socks in lots of colors.  I think these knitted slipper socks are knitted with double yarn?  Or perhaps chunky yarn as they truly are nice and warm.  There was no note with a name or email address in this box so I don't know whom all are involved.  I know from the return address one name, Jane Burmeister; but I know this donation (and several to follow in other posts) comes from a group that gets together at work to knit and crochet, The Sullivan Group.  I've not been able to locate an email address, find a blog, and or facebook page so if anyone out there is reading this and is a part of this group, please make contact using the contact form in the right sidebar.

Here's a variety of cotton washcloths in many different styles, colors, and sizes.  Believe these are all crocheted.

Jane and this group are our newest pairs of helping hands.  Welcome to the group, we appreciate the help.

Reminders:
*Please include a note with your donation folks with your email, saves me trying to figure out whom you are in order to let you know the mail arrived safe and sound.
**Remember to avoid open stitches where you can put your finger through (v stitches, mile a minute, and granny style type stitches aren't as warm as solid stitches.
***Remember to avoid light colors, pastels, whites, and lots of bold colors as the darker colors serve a wider range of the population we strive to serve
****Please remember to tag hats, slippers, and mittens with size.
Would Jane Burmeister please make contact, you can use the contact form in the right side bar.

Hats are Essential for Homeless

Thank you Erika H for your thoughtful donation of knitted hats.  Folks I've edited this picture trying to get the colors to show, but it didn't work very well.  Black and Dark Navy are the colors.  These hats are nice and large and heavy and no doubt will be used for those folks living out in the elements where they often have to wear two hats to ward off the elements.  Nicely done Erika.  Please keep up the good work.  Folks if you click to enlarge the picture you can see the nice detail, particularly in the lower right hat of the brim area.

Look forward to seeing you here often on Bridge and Beyond, Erika.

Donations for Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Kathy U for this thoughtful donation of knitted items to warm those in need in Central Ohio.  Kathy's knitted slippers, hats, and scarves and has also included personal care items in her donation.  The photo is a bit dark folks, but the slipper are on the left, navy and a variegated navy.  The hats are nice and stretchy and will fit a variety of head sizes.

Many thanks Kathy, please keep up the good work.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
