YIPPEE!! Can you see me clapping for mittens? Darlene H has some serious sewing skills folks. These mittens are sewn from what I believe to be double thickness soft warm felt. These are all sized larged which is perfect for our men living out in the elements. AND being black is wonderful as well to not show the dirt. She's also included 2 felt scarves and 3 knitted hats. Awesome donation.
Many thanks for making this special delivery right to my house Darlene.

Thank you Darlene H. for this thoughtful and warm donation and scarves. While our primary mission is handmade (knitted or crocheted or loomed) goods, Darlene found an awesome sale of warm mittens and thankfully.........she didn't turn them down. 11 pairs of hands will be warmer now.........so nice, as mittens are an item difficult for many to make, and we rarely get enough to cover the need. In addition Darlene knitted 2 hats (lower right corner).
If you've been to the blog a number of times here on Bridge and Beyond, you I clap and dance in the streets when we receive mittens.........Thank you Darlene.
I'm going to try something a little different with keeping our stats. I'm listing our end numbers from 2015 and will subtract our current number as means of keeping our goal in front of us. I'll show the goal number in Red. Let's strive not just to match last years numbers, but.........work towards even more. Thank you for all you do. As time goes on, we won't see the year end numbers, we'll see the previous goal and subtract the new donation from it. Hopefully we'll find this helpful and not too cumbersome...if so, we'll return to our previous format.
2016 DONATIONS:
Hats: 419-2=417
Scarves: 181 -2=179

Afghans: 21

Cowls/Hoody Combo's, headbands: 11

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
