Merry Christmas from my family to yours. This is last years picture taken right before we left for the Christmas Eve family gathering. Hubby, Darling Daughter, and Me with our tree in the background.
This can be a very difficult time of the year for many. Sometimes we loose site of that with our shopping, baking, cleaning, and travel. Many find it a hard time of year without a roof over their heads, warm clothes to wear and food to eat. We hear at Bridge and Beyond can not take care of everyone, but we do our best day to day providing warm items to donate to those in need.
If you look at our goals, we're falling well short of our goals, and have in recent years. Charities go through up's and down's. People find charities closer to home to help in order to minimize postage costs. All of this is understandable. Please know that even though we will fall well short of all of our goals, what we do does matter. It matters to those who receive our hats, scarves, mittens, personal care items, cotton washcloths, and our afghans.
No doubt our numbers will climb yet a bit before I close out the year, so please keep checking in.
Merry Christmas one and all. If you're traveling for the holidays, travel safe.
**The counts on our progress bars are current. All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.
Merry Christmas to you also.
ReplyDeleteThank you for dedication in your visits and comments. I so appreciate them.
DeleteI know it's likely discouraging to see counts go down but you are so right in that every little bit helps someone. The power of one. Seems that every day a new charity effort comes along. So much need! I am one of those trying to do more on the home front but can't let go of my favorite charities, of which you are one.
