Mail Hold and Wonderful Donations for Homeless

This is what my packages look liked when I collected them all from the mail hold from my recent trip to Hilton Head!  And right after collecting these, mail was delivered for that day which added another package (though I had taken the picture prior to that days delivery).  The blue bag is stuff I brought bag for the personnel care jazz.  You can only see 8 packages there, but there are 9, one of the pouches is sorta behind the other.  It will take some time to get them all opened, counted, photographed and blog posts written; but as you see this that has already begun.  The last 3 or 4 posts are showing you some of what is in these packages.

I've posted notes in the facebook group and sent out personal emails to all.  Surely hope I didn't miss anyone.  If I did, my apologies.  I wish I could figure out a way without posting here on my blog that I'm away and mail is being held so you all who mail things don't worry about whether or not your awesome goodies have arrived.  I'm giving this more thought, but am open to some suggestion you all might have.  Typically I get emails from some of you, while I'm away asking.......which is great.  It gives me the chance to tell you that I'm away and your goodies will be there at the post office on my return.  Plus, with having the greatest neighbor in the world next door........Kevin and family all take care to look out for anything that might miss the mail hold, like a delivery from Brown or something.  They keep anything like that for me safe and sound.  I just don't know how to inform you good folks without posting publically I'm not here, which of course is a bad idea for anyone looking for an easy entry when homeowners aren't home.

Anyway, thought you all would love to see the packages.  Then like me, it can be like Christmas when you get to see all the goodies inside.  So please, do visit the blog frequently to see the wonderful donations.

Thank you for all you do to help Ohio's homeless here on Bridge and Beyond.  YOU do make a difference, an important one.  Keep up the good work knitters and crocheters and loomers!!

**The counts on our progress bars are current, the percentages not quite. I'll not be figure the percentages with each update of numbers, but will be updating again next at least by the 20th. I have in fact made a reminder not on my cell phone for the 20th of each month to do percentages. If we're at a milestone, or I just have extra time I may do it more often...but certainly at that scheduled time.

** All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

  1. WOW! Look at all those packages with all the wonderful goodies you get to see. Looking forward to seeing all the items. I agree with you, you don't want to post that you will be gone. Too many homes get broken into when people post they are gone.

    1. My thoughts as well Sue, about the homes getting broken into. You see people posting things like that on facebook far too often. Thanks for your visit, always appreciated.

PLEASE leave your name and url, NOT a profile link, not a google or google plus. Only name and url will take me directly to your blog to return the favor of a comment.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
