Scarves Warm Homeless in Need

Thank you Mary H for this wonderful donation of knitted scarves!   A thoughtful and generous donation.  She's knitted a nice variety of sizes and colors to warm and please lots of folks.  Scarves are truly a wonderful way to help warm people up. I know how much more comfortable I am when I have a nice warm scarf around my neck...even while indoors.  Something here for everyone, male or female.

Many many thanks Mary, and please keep up the good work.  Know how appreciated you and your talents are.

**For anyone new to the blog, the counting below maybe confusing.  When 2016 began, we started with the number of items donated the previous year and are counting down in hopes of hitting and surpasses the number of items donated last year.**

2016 DONATIONS:
Hats:     38
Scarves: 61 - 15 = 46
Mittens/Gloves/Wrist Warmers:  66
Slippers:   36
Rain Poncho's:   +106
Cotton Washcloths:  269

Socks:   108
Cowls/Hoody Combo's, headbands:   7
Shawls and shrugs, ponchos, sweaters & vests etc +1
Misc: items like personal care, headbands etc and things don't fit into above categories aren't counted.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

  2. Wow Mary, you have been busy with scarves! Love all the colors that you used. I agree, scarves are great in cold weather. I have wrapped them over my head and then around my neck. Sure helps me stay warmer if I don't have a hat with me.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
