Generous Donation From New York Help Ohio's Homeless

LOVE LOVE this.  This is, I believe a traditional quilt style called pinwheel...if not someone please correct me.  Bright fun colors on a black background crocheted by a good friend and long tine supporter AnneMarie from New York.  What child wouldn't love this. Wonderful choice of cheery colors, ad perfectly sized for a child to snuggle up in.........AND frankly perfect for an adult as well for a lapghan.  Cause really what's not to love about this cute cute afghan!!
AnneMarie has been very busy crocheting slippers, and cotton cloths to go with her cute afghan above.....AND she's included socks.........clean dry socks which are always needed and appreciated--regardless of the time of year or the temperatures.

Many many thanks AnneMarie, you truly ROCK!

Please note the category of shawl, shrugs, ponchos etc has reached our little goal, same as last year of 1.........but please please please.........don't let that stop you from making more of these items.  Likewise note we've definitely reached our goal for rain poncho's.  Rain ponchos's serve many purposes so we will probably still need some....down the line, but not for awhile.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

  1. This is awesome! Love that afghan and the rest of the donation is amazing as well.

  2. Love the afghan also. I have never seen that pattern, so very cute. Very nice donation Anna Marie with all the slippers, socks and wash cloths. You certainly have been busy.

  3. That afghan is great! I love the colour combo and you got a great haul on wash cloths, slippers and socks. This is great

  4. Sandy, this afghan was a kit I bought from Mary Maxim called Fireworks. I'm not sure if it's a true pinwheel.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
