Minnesota has 2 nicknames really. The North Star State and The Land of 1000 Lakes. Both seem most appropriate, though I tend to remember North Star more. Unsure if one nickname is more official or has been around longer. But, these knitted (11) and crocheted (6) cotton wash cloths are donated by our good friend, Liz from Minnesota. Thank you Liz. We really never have enough it seems. This item is always on the request list from both family shelters (The Y and Homeless Families Foundation). Colors are brighter then my pictures shows. Believe this was the last picture I took right before changing batteries.
Thank you for your thoughtful donation Liz and your on going support. We sure appreciate it and you.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Very nice variation of stitches. Great to see an always needed item donated.
ReplyDeleteGreat donation of washcloths!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize there was such a need for washcloths. I bought some cotton yarn not too long ago. I'll have to pull it out and make some. Washcloths are so easy to do and take hardly any time. How big do you like them, Sandy?
ReplyDeleteLove all the colors ... beautiful donation!
ReplyDeleteVery colorful washcloths! Great job!
