Folks we've donated many times to Faith Mission through these last couple of years to the men's area, the family area, and to Nancy Place. Last year we directed our afghans to Nancy Place for the Mothers living there in temporary shelters. Often we receive verbal thanks you when deliveries are made; sometimes they take time out and write a thank you. I know none of us do what we do for the written thank you's, but I did want to share this with you all.
The time to care for homeless and those in need is great, and thank you's are nice; but it's certainly understandable why written thank you's don't come everyday. We would all, I know, rather precious time be spent to care for those in need.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the note! I know I don't knit for hearing Thank you, but I do just love it when I know the small part that I do is appreciated.
ReplyDeleteDoing something with my hands to someone in need fills my being of more strength to continue because it is not in vain, but I did not expect words of thanks.
ReplyDeleteFaith Mission, thanks for your beautiful words. Sandy, thanks for sharing.
A thanks is nice, but I'm sure that those who give, give so just to help. Here's to each of them. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the visits. Sherri, right you are.
