Feels good to complete a project

knitted hat and scarfI finally got a project finished! Yippee. Both hat and scarf are knitted with JoAnne's soft sensations. Love the yarn; but thought it was perhaps too light weight to hold up well outdoors after I got it finished. I'll direct this to the bag for the free clinic rather than the folks under the bridge. The royal blue scarf I'm crocheting will be heavier and more suited I think to the outside elements for the duration.

Our numbers continue to climb, but remember the numbers reflect those we made and donated last year. Sooooooo, please keep those hands busy. So much is needed.

Thanks

Donations Total since December 02-08 when the blog was started:
Hats 271+1= 272
Mittens 47 pairs + 8 =53 pairs
Scarves 123+1= 124

  1. If it's OK with you, I'd like to link this blog on my facebook page... maybe stir up some of the knitters I know.

  3. Still looking a little low on those mitten totals! Might have to get working on some this weekend for ya! Do you think they might like fingerless mitts too? Both 10 yo dd and myself could whip those out! Then if someone already has gloves, the fingerless mitts could add some extra warmth to the hands, and up into jacket sleeves.

  5. Might be your computer color Jan, there really a aqua/minty greenish.

Definately not suitable for the guys under the bridge, so I put this in the clinic bag for one of the ladies or girls.

  6. Both the knitted and crocheted items are lovely. I don't knit despite some valiant efforts, but do admire the knitted items.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
