It's a beginning
I've added 2 ticker/counters here on our blog...one for HATS and one for SCARFS. I've set a goal of 100 for each and will keep track so we know where we are against the goal.
I've fixed the settings and those who attempted to join yesterday have now been able to join. YIPPEE. Anyone may help, email to join the group so I can add your email which lets you join as an author, which means you're listed as a team member. If you'ld like to help without being an "official" team member you may do that by posting a comment. Email me at sandycrochet@gmail.com for my address to mail HATS, SCARFS, GLOVES.
Sooooooo many ways to help:
Post a link to the group in your blog to help spread the word
Blog about the effort
Add link in mass emails to your knitting and crochet friends
And the obvious way is with your knitting needles and or crochet hooks.
When donations are mailed to me, I'll photograph and add so we can see all the wonderful items made by caring kind people.
***would like to add a weather, temperature thing, who knows how to do that?

Where are You and Your Yarn From?
I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.
Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Please add me as a contributor. I sent you my email this morning.
ReplyDeleteThanks for accepting me. I most certainly want to help out. I think this is an admirable effort thanks for taking it in hand. I will start right after Christmas. And I will post about this effort on my blog tomorrow to spread the word.
ReplyDeleteOh and one other thought, you might consider a button to place on blogs of contributors. A picture is worth a thousand words and it will help in spreading the word also.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! There are a lot of needs out there, and it's nice to see someone trying to fill another one! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI think a button would be great! I might be able to design a button... If that's okay with you! I also pulled up some info on weather widgets. here's one that looks good. I tried it and it works! http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/liveweather
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!!!! You're terrific. So many men get left out when it comes to receiving help of any kind. Someone better teach me to knit or crochet quickly!!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see how things have changed over the past two years. Remember the original 100 goal. Surpassed and more. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI remembering thinking that goal might be difficult, but was so excited when we hit it so quickly. People are awesome
