Donation Totals for 2019

Please remember you can always click on pictures to enlarge.  And you may need to do that to see the stats.  I no longer have a neat software where I could make grafts so this is a spread sheet from google docs, but they don't let you post/paste it anywhere, so saved it in PDF, the printed it so I could scan it to make it a picture in order to insert here in the blog post.  Thus the quality/sharpness isn't the best.  But, I believe you can read it.

The numbers in red represent where we collected and donated more in the year 2019 then we did in the previous year 2018.  You can see we did better with cotton washcloths, hats, slippers, and socks!  Way to go ladies.

Additionally, you can see the percentage of our goal.  The goal we used for 2019 was an average of the previous 6 years.  We didn't make 100% of goal on any item, but we hit 77% of our goal of 347 for cotton cloths.  AND our sock goal percentage was 74%.  That goal was 152 and we donated 113.  Our 3rd item was scarves, and we hit 55% of our goal on scarves which was 383, you can see we collected and donated 212.

All in all, it looks to me like we warmed and cared for a good number of people.  Some folks change which charities they support over time, and that's ok.  Some folks have found similar charities in their areas, that's good to...it means they are still helping people even if not here through Bridge and Beyond.  So, let's not feel bad that we didn't hit 100% of our goals.  Let's celebrate what we did accomplish.  And on that score we donated more Cotton Washcloths, Hats, Slippers, and Socks.  All items that are greatly appreciated.

Thank you again to everyone who helped with their skills in knitting, crocheting and or looming.  Thank you to all who helped by spreading the word about the need, and thank you to all who visit the blog and also those that leave comments.  You are make difference.

Please know you all have made an important difference in the lives of those you've knitted/crocheted/ and loomed for.  Our handcrafted items help them know someone does care about them and their circumstances.  They help to physical warm them and can make a difference on how they make it through the day and night.

Please keep your yarn, hook, and needles; as well as your looms ever handy.

I'll be working with final numbers and goals for our current year, 2020.  Please stay tuned.

Last Donation on Bridge and Beyond for the Year 2019

Thank you Karla T!  Drum roll folks, this donation of warm crocheted scarves from our friend Karla T will close out the year of 2019.  Lovely work Karla.  Colors that work for men or women.  Many thanks for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond and those homeless and in need folks here in Ohio.

As always folks, remember you can click on all blog pictures to see details.  The burgundy scarf on the left has details in the color you otherwise might not see.  Very nice, very subtle...tweedy.

Thanks again Karla and keep up the good work.  You've made a difference in the lives of those you touch with your donations.

AND......folks stay tuned, we'll be posting some final numbers and thoughts etc for the year of 2019.

2nd to the Last Donation of 2019 for Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Laura E!  This is our 2nd to last donation here on Bridge and Beyond for the year 2019.  Lots of variety with personal care items, knitted hats, knitted cotton wash cloth and a set with hat and scarf.

Many thanks Laura for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond.

Please click the picture to enlarge it so you can see the details of her hats.  There's a textured area in the center front with cute buttons on a couple of them and a little flower like on another.  Ahhhhhhhhh, very sweet.

Folks I'm trying to determine who sent the very last donation of 2019.  I have 2 crocheted scarves, but I don't have a note to indicate whom they're from.  Please sing out either here in the comment section, or email me, or send a note via this blog where it says contact me/message me.  Thanks

Laura, please keep up the good work and know you've made such an important difference in the lives of many.

Crocheted Hats and Scarves for Bridge and Beyond

Thank you Kathy S for this wonderful donation of crocheted goodies. Kathy has been busy, as you can see.  She's been busy crocheting scarves and hats.  Great colors Kathy!  As of the time of writing and scheduling this post, this could be the last donation of the year....however, by the time you read this scheduled post, we could have others......so stay tuned.

Post will continue and counts for donated items for 2019 will continue through the end of the year...even if those items received before the end of the year are posted in early 2020.  Wow, that seems odd to type 2020.  It's been a rather fast year it seems to me.

Many thanks Kathy for thoughtfulness, please know you have warmed those in need.

Donations Help Others

Thank you Laura E for this thoughtful donation.  Laura has included quite a variety of goodies in her donation for Bridge and Beyond.  Lots of personal items, slippers, socks, a hat and scarf, and cotton washcloths.

Many thanks Laura.  Please know your help is very much appreciated.  Folks, keep our friend Laura in your thoughts, please.  She's recovering from surgery and a family tragedy; but still is giving of herself to help others.  What a special person she is.

((HUGS)) Laura, please take care of you and again thank you for your thoughtful donation.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
