Hotel Toiletries Help the Homeless

Thank you Darling Hubby!  Hubby was recently on a business trip and remembered to grab all the toiletries in the hotels.  When we travel together, I do that; but didn't think to remind him before he left or when I chatted with him on the phone.  So, I was pleasantly surprised when he arrived home and handed me a bag of goodies.  Personal care items are needed and used and appreciated by all the shelters, and the folks living out in the elements.

Suggest to your friends and neighbors to knab the hotel toiletries.  They add up and what a simple way to make a difference.  Also, it's a great way for someone who doesn't knit or crochet to lend a helping hand.

Knitted Cotton Washcloths, Always a hit at Homeless Shelters

Thank you Sue S for this wonderful collection of knitted cotton washcloths.  Folks Sue donated these lovely cloths some time back, but somehow the picture didn't get posted.  It got moved to the done file instead of the pending file where I keep pictures of donations needed to be posted.  Argh..Thanks so much Sue for your thoughtful donation, your on going support, and for your diligence.

I LOVE the bright turquoisey one on right side.  What happy colors.  Love to have a dress in those colors.

Keep up the good work Sue.  These cotton cloths get used in several ways by those in shelters, under the bridges, and those moving into their permanent housing situation.

Clapping for Knitted Mittens for The Homeless

Do you hear me?  Listen....you know how excited I get and clapp for mittens and sometimes dance in the street, lol.  Seriously though folks, you know I truly do get excited about mittens.  Sandra R, our good friend and long time supporter from Florida makes truly awesome mittens.  So...yeah I'm pretty excited.  She's made set's folks and paired them with appropriate sized hats.  Please to enlarge the picture, as you always can on this blog to see details.  Sandra has been busy, hats, scarves, mittens, and cotton washcloths!  A truly generous donation.

Sandra has included several styles and sizes of hats which help us warm many heads in need.

I hope you're being safe there in Florida Sandra with the Zika Virus and Mosquito's.

As always, many many thanks and please keep up the good work.  We all appreciate you.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
