Knitted Donations from Texas for Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Maria R from Texas for this knitted donation of hats, scarves and mittens.  And as always...I'm now dancing in the streets.  You know how excited I get folks when we mittens.  Mittens are one of those items we never get enough of.  There aren't in many of our wheel houses with regards to the skill or comfort in making them.

Awesome solid colors too!  The brown and gray,so nice for the men folk, and the blue scarf ...color wise would work for either, but I think it's sized more for a female.  Additional thanks  for tagging the hats and mittens with size.  The tagging for size is something we encourage everyone to do for hats, slippers, and mittens.

Please keep up the good work.

Taking Yarn with You

LOL....I know we all can relate to this.  It's rare for most of us to leave the house without yarn.  Some  folks have yarn in their purses, some leave yarn and a project in their cars and others carry a tote with them wherever they  go.  I recently attended an info meeting about medicare and the gentlemen next to me pulls out yarn to knit during the meeting.  I didn't actually have mine with me,  I was busy taking notes, but did turn the pages of his info book for him so he could keep up with where we were in the program and not loose count or drop a stitch, lol.

As always sharing a little humor to go with your yarn and knitting or crocheting.  Enjoy!

Personal Care, Cotton Washcloths and Socks Donated for Homeless

This awesome donation is from a very good friend Marjorie M.  Look at all the cotton washcloths!  There's such a nice mix of colors,  many I've not seen before.  Love the orange mix!  Besides being busy crocheting lots of cotton washcloths, Marjorie has been busy collecting lots of personal care items, including feminine hygiene products which is wonderful.  She's also included socks which are a hit all year long and always needed!

Many thanks Marjorie, please keep up the good work.  Folks Marjorie donated this some time back, but the picture got in the wrong folder on my computer and I came across it the other day realized I hadn't yet shared it with you...at least pretty sure I hadn't.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
