Crocheting for the Homeless

Thank you Marjorie M for this awesome donation and for your on going support of the cause here on Bridge and Beyond.  Marjorie has been a faithful supporter for Ohio's homeless and others in need in many ways.  She uses her skillful hands to crochet and donate warm items, she includes lots of much needed and appreciated personal care items.  Additionally she is ever diligent in visiting and supporting the blog with her thoughtful comments and cheering on other big hearted folks who donate.
Lots of different colored crocheted cotton washcloths, some for the ladies and some for the men.  Perfect!  She's also included warm socks so very much in need.
I attended the Ohio State Footfall game the other day, and can tell you how uncomfortable I was with cold wet feet.  We were out for a good part of the day and feet simply don't dry when it's raining....even though we had rain gear on that doesn't protect ones feet.  Knowing I could get warm and dry later certainly helped.  Our friends living out in the elements don't have the luxury of knowing in a few hours they'll be warm and dry, so socks are ALWAYS a huge plus.

Many thanks Marjorie, please keep up the good work.

*Folks if you notice I rolled the brim down on one hat and up in the other so you can see the versatility of this style hat.*

Hats for Kids in Need

Thank you Carol C for this thoughtful donation of crocheted hats.  The kids receiving them will be not only warm, but happy.  Kids without warm clothing don't get to play outside with their friends at recess.  Kids need to play with their friends so these hats will go a long way helping them be part of the group.  We have many schools in the area where many of homeless live under bridges and near the shelters so even while homeless and in need these kids still try to attend school.  The weather's getting ugly with dark, damp days and nights and warm items are such a blessing.

Thank you Carol for your thoughtfulness.  I've tried locating Carol C through facebook, twitter, here on the blog, as well as many searches through my emails unsuccessfully.  I'm not able to tell you where Carol's from; but keep hoping .......Carol if you're out there, please make contact with me.  You can leave a comment here on the blog with your email and or send a private note through the contact me area in the right sidebar.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
