Stripped Crocheted Afghan to Welcome You Home

Thank you Gail B for warm stripped crocheted afghan.  The family who receives this is going to be very happy and warm.  For those who may be reading this blog for the first time, we knit and crochet and donate afghans to help families celebrate their future.  When a family leaves a shelter and moves into their permanent home, welcome home packages are put together.  These are items to help them get started again, to give them a pat on the back for putting their lives back together, and we add afghans to those packages.  They keep families warm, they give them a pat on the back, and hope for the future to be brighter.

Gail has been a very long time supporter of Bridge and Beyond.  She and I first became acquainted over on Crochetville.  She does beautiful work.

Thank you Gail!

She's also crocheted scarves, and included socks.  All items will be so very much appreciated.

Recently, I decide to pile less in a picture so you all could better see the awesome donations, so stay turned..........they're will be additional pictures and posts of Gail's donation.

**Does anyone know how to change the font on the blogs?  I see options when typing a post, but can't find where to change it from default to this larger style which I much prefer.

Crocheting and Donating to those in Need

Thank you RoseMarie for your ongoing support of our cause here on Bridge and Beyond.  RoseMarie has been a long time and regular supporter with her crochet hook and big heart.  We've all come to know her donations on site, hat and scarf sets, always with details and trims, and always for the ladies.  She has included some personal care items as well.

In the coming days, I'll be posting a pattern she's created for single crochet writs warmers/fingerless gloves.  It will be added to patterns that can be used on the mitten page.  We never get enough mittens, and while full mittens are certainly warmer, folks who can't make mittens might be able to help out with the writs warmers.  Please stay tuned.

Thank you RoseMarie and please keep up the good work.

Crocheted Hats and Scarves for the Homeless

Two more photo's folks of Diana K's awesome donation.  She and her hook have reportedly been on fire.  her neighbors have gotten out their garden hoses to soak she and her hooks down for fear of the fire spreading, lol!  Seriously folks, have you been following along daily over these past dozen or so blog posts here on Bridge and Beyond, you've noted lots of crocheted goodies from our generous friend Diana.  Here are some person care items, hats, scarves, and cotton washcloths to round out her 2 large boxes of donations.
Recently I thought spreading less out on my work table to photo graph at a time made for better pictures with the limited light I have available in my work area in the basement.  Thus the multiple posts.  I do think you can see the donated items better.  Now if I could solve the problem of my font continually changing as I type I'd be a happy camper.  Will try to decipher the settings on the blog and see what's going on.  I like this font better then the tiny font above, but can't figure out why it keeps changing?

Once again thank you Diana for your dedication!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
