Warming Heads and Necks of the Homeless

Thank you Jen (missilbird on Rav) for these awesome hats and cowls/neckgators.  Both the hats and cowls are super soft, and doubly warm and thick!  Fabulous.  Jen's also sent along some personal care items (toothpaste and brushes and floss).  Thanks so much Jen, for your on going support; keep up the good work.

**What state are you all from?  We have 3 lists of supporters (those who donate) here on the blog.  One list is those with a facebook, ravelry, or other such profile page; one is a list of those with blogs and or webpages, and one (across the top of the blog) is a list of those who donate but don't have a page here on the net.  PLEASE find your name, make sure you're on the right list AND...if there isn't a state listed beside your name leave a comment here so I can add it.  We've made good headway getting the lists updated; but still sadly have some that are incomplete.  Knowing what state your from serves several purposes.  On the fun side of things, we have our map at the bottom of the blog.  Have you seen the map?  If not, scroll down please and check it out.  The map isn't as current as it could be, so with your help...let's get it updated and see how many states are represented with donations.  And while I don't a world map, I do have the countries that have representation outside the United States.  On the practical side of things, knowing what state your from can help me identify who sent what when.  We have multiple people with the same name, so knowing the state helps me narrow things down when I'm trying to find someone to make contact.  When I try to locate someone, I spend LOTS of time...looking through all 3 lists, my emails, my contacts on facebook, and ravelry and other places...even with all that it is sometimes quite difficult  AND VERY TIME CONSUMING.  Thanks!**

Thank You Gail B from Virginia

Wonderful donation from our good friend and long long time supporter, Gail B from Virginia.  Gail has been busy.  Look at the nice large scarves!  She's also sent along a bag of lip balm which is always a good item.  I can't get by a day without using chapstick/lipbalm myself; so imagine how it is for those living in the cold.

Keep up the good work Gail, we surely appreciate you!

**Remember folks to make all your wonderful donations out of washable fibers, dry cleaning isn't an option for the folks in need (and please avoid novelty fibers).**

West Virginia Helping Hands for Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Kathy U from West Virginia for this thoughtful donation.  What a nice variety of goodies.  Kathy has crocheted and donated a cotton washcloth (and soap), 4 scarves and matching hats, 2 pairs of mittens, and 15 squares.

All your goodies will be put to good use, please keep up the good work!

Now that November is past I'd prefer that you hold mailing squares until I can get  enough afghans assembled to make some room.  I'll sing out when the next collection month for squares is, so please keep checking in.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
